Description
My name is Dennis. I am an American who has been living in Japan for 38 years. I have been in this location for about the past 7 years. I am I guess what you would call a semi retired artist who worked as a Singer Songwriter, Band Leader, Side Guitarist, Lyricist, Model/Actor, studio musician in Tokyo for 32 years.
Since I have moved to this location I have been satisfying my creative impulses renovating this place. In this journey I have learned some carpentry, some metal working, welding, interior design etc. I love this place, I love my life here, I love the local community of expats, the fascinating instructors, workaways, and digital hobos that pass through and share a bit of their journey. If you are interested in sharing a bit of mine and doing some skiing please let me know.Types of help and learning opportunities

If you are a skier or snowboarder or want to become one this is a dream location. You are close to some of the best powder in the world and you will have plenty of time to hit the slopes. If you are capable and interested I have decent knowledge of a lot of great side and back country runs and I am happy to have company when I hike out the back.

Help
Mainly I need help with my rental project. It is a popular ski In lodge in one of the most popular resort towns in Japan. The main help I need is cleaning after guests and getting rooms ready for the next group. I have about two turnarounds per week. There are some other chores besides turning the rooms such as picking up guests at the station and snow clearing. Sometimes I may ask you to pet my 21 year old cat and give her some food.
On average I there is no more than about 10-15 hours a week. I can pay ¥1000 per hour.Languages spoken

This is an old natural hot spring hotel that I have converted to a rental spot. There are 15 guest rooms in the commercial section and 5 bedrooms in the private section. The commercial section has two natural hotspring baths a fully functional commercial kitchen a 36 seat dining room/communal area with a pool table and basically all the facilities a group of 20 or 30 need for a fun comfortable stay.
The private section has 5 bedrooms, a living/dining room and a small kitchen. There is a large super market and two different 7 elevens within about 800 meters. I came here 7 years ago and renovation has been an ongoing art project ever since. What is usually urgent for me now is help from the last week of December to at least the end of February. That said this is a comfortable fun town in an absolutely beautiful area and as renovations are ongoing I am happy to host capable people year round. What else ...
This place is mainly a ski town in the winter and in that season honestly there are not a whole lot of other options. In the summer the main attractions are the mountain trails and beautiful scenery.
