Description
Enjoy the Carnic Alps in a young family atmosphere
I love to escape, to discover new cultures and traditions and to make new experiences. You too?
Welcome in our family!
We are a family of 4, including 14 hens. I’m from francophone Switzerland (39 years old) and Wilfried (45 years old) is from Austria. Our youngest son is 3 years old old and his brother is 6 years old. He loves to make new contacts. We are speaking two languages, German as well as French. We live in a small beautiful and natural village, near the mountains, at the border to Italy (10 km).
We would be happy to welcome you into our family. You are willing to support us in the household, to prepare and share meals with our family in a friendly atmosphere and to accompany us in our activities (gardening, spend time near the river, outdoor activities...), you are very welcome to join us!Types of help and learning opportunities

Help
I love to discover new things, to travel and to make new contacts. Now, with two small children, everything has become a bit more elaborate. My partner works in his own business (production of green electricity) and often cannot support me in having new experiences. I am not only looking for a babysitter or assistance for cleaning. I'would love to welcome people with new ideas and knowledge and just have fun in a natural way.
Spring is now approaching and the first flowers are coming out. We are going to spend a lot of time in our fruit and vegetable garden. I'm interested in permaculture (combining the production of vegetables together with hens), composting, restoring my vegetable patches etc. If you have gardening skills, I'would love to learn about techniques and get some craft suppor.
Our children love discovering new things and spending time in outdoors. They love to get the opportunities to help in doing "real" jobs in the garden, playing in the forest next to our house or to help with the cooking. You can imagine spending some time with children in a natural environment than you are looking on the right place.
Flexibility is a key concept in our life and also in our Workaway experiences. We are open for any help - let us get to know each other!Languages

We live in a big house that was once used as a hotel. The house is located in the centre of Kötschach (about 1.500 habitants). Therefore we also have a room for you with its own bathroom, separate from our apartment. Our house has a large garden .
What else ...
The nearest public transport (bus) is 100 m. from the house away. Within walking distance there are numerous restaurants, bars and shops. The next "bigger" cities are only 30 km away. For a short trip to the sea (Adriatic Sea) you need approx. 90 minutes by car. Even if we live in the middle of the mountains, cities like Salzburg, Venice and Graz are only about 2.5 hours away.
