Hello,
we are a middle-aged German-American couple with a dog.
Our home is about 25 km from Frankfurt am Main in the Taunus and we would like to invite you to get to know our beautiful area.
We live in a half-timbered house with a small garden on which there is another smaller house that you can use for your stay.
As we both work, there are always larger and smaller projects around the house that we don‘t have time to accomplish.
These are mainly manual tasks, e.g. painting, repairing garden fences, plastering, etc.
However, I would help with everything as much as possible and am also happy to learn something.

wir sind ein deutsch-amerikanisches Paar im mittleren Alter mit einem Hund.
Unser Zuhause ist ca. 25 km von Frankfurt am Main im Taunus und wir möchten euch einladen unsere schönen Gegend kennenzulernen.
Wir leben in einem Fachwerkhaus mit kleinem Garten auf dem noch ein weiteres kleineres Haus steht, welches wir dir gerne zur Verfügung stellen.
Dadurch, dass wir beide voll Berufstätig sind, bleiben immer wieder größere und kleiner Projekte rund ums Haus liegen, bei denen wir uns über Hilfe freuen würden. Dabei handelt es sich vorwiegend um handwerkliche Tätigkeiten, z.B. streichen, Gartenzaun reparieren, verputzen usw. Ich würde aber bei allem soweit möglich helfen und freue mich auch etwas zu lernen.

We offer you the opportunity to get to know our beautiful region and our everyday life. I work from home most of the time and I am always happy to chat in between. If you are interested, you are welcome to get to know our two horses. If the opportunity arises and you are interested, we would also be happy to take you to see Eintracht Frankfurt play.
Wir bieten dir die Gelegenheit in unsere schöne Gegend und unseren Alltag kennenzulernen. Ich bin die meiste Zeit im Homeoffice und freue mich zwischendurch immer auf einen Austausch. Wenn Du Interesse hast kannst Du gerne unseren beiden Pferde kennenlernen. Wenn sich die Gelegenheit bietet und Interesse besteht, nehmen wir dich auch gerne mit in Fußballstadion.

Help
Help with repairing and replacing the garden fence, plastering a small outdoor area on the terrace, laying a small area of tiles on the terrace. In bad weather, help with painting, transporting and assembling furniture and minor repairs to the house.
Hilfe beim reparieren und ersetzen des Gartenzauns, verputzen einer kleineren Aussenfläche an der Terrasse, verlegen von einer kleineren Fläche Fliesen an der Terrasse. Bei schlechtem Wetter Hilfe beim streichen, transportieren und Aufbau von Möbeln und kleinere Reparaturen am Haus.

Accommodation
We can offer you accommodation in our small adjoining house. The house has a living room with a large sofa and a bedroom with a 1.40 cm wide bed.
On the lower floor there is a shower room and a kitchenette.
We use part of the lower floor as storage space. However, we don't have to access it every day, so you have your privacy.
Due to the open, steep staircase, we cannot accommodate families with children under the age of 12.
If you are more than two persons, there is the possibility to share the bed and one person can sleep on the couch.
We will be happy to prepare breakfast and a lunch snack for you according to your wishes. We cook in the evening and of course you are welcome to join us for dinner and a chat. We are also happy to go shopping together.
Wir können dir eine Unterkunft in unserem kleinen Nebenhaus anbieten. Das Haus hat ein Wohnzimmer mit einem
großen Sofa und ein Schlafzimmer mit einem 1,40 cm breiten Bett.
In der unteren Etage befindet sich ein Duschbad und eine Küchenzeile.
Wir nutzen in der unteren Etage einen Teil als Stauraum. Allerdings müssen wir nicht täglich an die Sachen, Du hast also deine Privatsphäre.
Aufgrund der offenen, steilen Treppe können wir keine Familien mit Kindern unter 12 Jahren aufnehmen.
Wenn ihr mehr als zwei Personen seid, besteht die Möglichkeit das Bett und die Couch zu nutzen.
Gerne bereiten wir dir Frühstück und einen Mittagssnack vor, nach deinem Wünschen vor. Wir kochen Abends und natürlich bist Du zum gemeinsamen Abendessen und Austausch willkommen. Gerne kaufen wir auch gemeinsam ein.
What else ...
Our village has all stores for daily needs and also some restaurants within walking distance. The train station can be reached on foot in about 10 minutes, from there the regional train goes to the beautiful small town of Bad Homburg and to Frankfurt am Main.
As a metropolis, Frankfurt offers everything you could wish for in terms of culture and leisure.
If you enjoy the outdoors there are numerous hiking and biking trails around the village.
Unser Ort hat fußläufig alle Geschäfte für den täglichen Bedarf und auch einige Restaurants. Der Bahnhof ist zu Fuß in ca. 10 min erreichbar, von der geht die Regionalbahn in die schöne Kleinstadt Bad Homburg und nach Frankfurt am Main.
Frankfurt bietet als Metropole alles an Kultur und Freizeit was man sich wünscht.
Um unseren Ort herum gibt es unzählige Wanderwege.

Dogs and/or cats are welcome. Prerequisite is that the animals are house-trained. A dog must be absolutely compatible, as we have a male dog here. It is important to know that the garden is not an animal toilet. Hund und/oder Katze sind willkommen. Vorrausetzung ist, dass die Tiere stubenrein sind. Ein Hund muss absolut verträglich sein, da wir hier einen Rüden haben. Wichtig ist zu wissen, dass der Garten keine Tiertoilette ist.
