I studied and worked in Canada and Australia for about 8 years.
Since I came back to Daegu, Korea, I have realized that my hometown is a great city and I wanted to introduce this city to people around the world.
I also find out that still many Koreans have difficulty in learning English. Perhaps I can offer them a better way to truly learn languages. This is the reason why I become a Workaway host.
plus, we will provide you one-way KTX ticket from Seoul to Daegu or Daegu to Seoul [ cost approximately $40 ]
For those who are interested in Korean culture, there is no better place to socialize with Koreans and learn all about Korean culture and society while you have enjoyable conversations with Koreans in person.
In addition, it will be a great way to improve social skills as well as teaching skills which will benefit you for your future job. You will feel rewarded as they improve their English-speaking skills.
We want to have time with helpers who are interested in Korean cultures and society.
Volunteers spend time with our members 4 hours a day in our language cafe. [ 50minutes per conversation and 10 minutes break each session]
Helpers should be comfortable with speaking English and give a help Koreans to enhance their English-speaking skills and suggest better expressions.
if you are not a native speaker of English, please address how fluent your English is and even better forl us know about any English certificate or test score that you may have earned.

This city is surrounded by beautiful mountains, so it will be a great choice for someone who loves the nature.[indeed, we have very have hiking events since I love hiking. You can join it for free.] However, it is the third biggest city in Korea, so you can surely enjoy benefits of city life. Here the public transit is not as crammed as that of Seoul, I believe we have pretty awesome transportation systems. You can freely go anywhere you feel like. There are two subway lines and one monorail line [ not need to mention buses and taxies] Daegu is also well known for decent food. Chicken and beer culture is first began in this city. There are countless shopping malls and traditional markets you shouldn’t miss. You can truly feel about Korea. If you go to Downtown which takes only 10 minutes from our café, you can meet like-minded people in western style pubs. If you want to venture out of the city, it is the convenient location to have a glimpse of small historical towns which takes only about an hour on train. Even Busan is only an hour on train or bus from our city. There are many festivals and musicals going on all around the year.
