    Description

We operate a family-owned glamping campground located in the heart of Colorado. Running this property is a dream come true for us. The property is surrounded over half a million acres of untouched national forest including the Lost Creek Wilderness Area and is a short 5-minute drive from the Tarryall Reservoir. With easy access to hiking, fly fishing, archery, climbing, biking, water sports and more, there’s no shortage of things to do around the area and on the property.

This summer we are in a major building phase and not hosting too much until August. So we need more carpentry, landscaping, building skills in May to July, then the Campground Associate role starts up.

We aim to provide each and every guest with a comfortable and memorable experience with a focus on enjoying nature, unplugging from electronics, and trying something new. We are growing into a non-profit that will provide first responders, veterans, and their families with wilderness retreats free of charge but are functioning as a for-profit business right now. You will be able to help with a variety of tasks and get to know us as owners very well throughout your stay!

    Accommodation

You will be able to spend your nights in a hand painted tipi. Each is uniquely designed by the same tipi makers who made the tipis for the set of ‘Dances with Wolves." Your tipi is fully furnished, and lets you be even closer to nature without skimping on comfort. You will have a propane grill (two burner grill and one side burner), bear proof storage container for your ice box, and a table for four. These luxurious tipis will provide a unique circular home for you while you help on the property. You can shower/use sinks and modern toilets anytime at the lodge as we have 3 upvalley units set aside for campground use, just a 300 yard walk from the tipis.

During your time off, there is endless access to outdoor activities ranging from mountain biking to fly fishing, rock climbing to hiking, and more! Because we are surrounded by national forest on all sides of the property, there are countless ways to unwind and relax in nature during your off time.

When you need a city fix, Colorado Springs and Breckenridge are just 75 min away and Denver is just 90 min. Use this as a base to get to know Colorado and learn more about hospitality too. We highly recommend having your own personal transportation, as you will be cooking for yourself and buying your own food as well. The nearest shops are about 20 miles away.
