Hi travelers, our names are Clémence and Jacky. We’ve dedicated the past 2 years to refurbishing an old farm in Haute Loire and we’ve been also doing home organic farming. Our goal is to be self-sufficient. We need help to grow our project !
We live in the middle of nature, with no close neighborhood. We have hens, a donkey, a dog, a cat and a turtle. Five minutes away from the village, there is a beautiful lake and a lot of places to go hiking.
We look forward to hosting you as a Workawayer !

Nous sommes Jacky et Clémence.
Installés depuis 2 ans dans notre ferme, nous avons entrepris une renovation ecologique de la maison et travailllons le terrain de maniere biologique pour être autonome.
Nous aurions besoin d'un coup de main pour avancer notre projet !
Nous vivons en pleine nature, sans voisins proches. Avec une belle vue sur les monts du velay, en haute loire.
Nous avons des poules, un âne, une chienne, un chat et une tortue.
A 5 minutes du village où nous vivons, il y un lac avec une base nautique. La region de moyenne montagne est ideale pour les randonnées. ; )

Nous partagerons avec vous notre expérience dans la renovation écologique d'une maison en pierre. Notamment ce que nous avons appris en travaillant la chaux à travers différents enduits.
Nous pourrons avec plaisir partager ce que nous avons appris depuis 2 ans en maraîchage biologique : quand et comment planter, comment nourrir la terre, comment traiter ou pas les mauvaises herbes... ; )

Help
Several projects are underway: repointing our stone walls with lime, building a shelter for our donkey, finishing a mound to plant strawberries, building a garden hut, planting and sowing vegetables.
Plusieurs chantiers sont en cours : rejointoyer a la chaux nos murs en pierre, construire un abri pour notre âne, terminer une butte pour planter des fraises, construire une cabane de jardin, planter et semer des légumes.

Accommodation
We offer a dormitory on the farm. We can provide linens.
It is also possible to camp on the ground. Bring your sleeping bag!
Meals will be taken together and prepared together or as a team depending on the number of people present. The vegetables, eggs and berries come from the farm. We are open to all kinds of diet. We both love to cook and discover new flavors. It will be a pleasure to discuss the preparation of a meal.
We have a dry toilet, an outdoor shower and an indoor shower.
We really like to cook our farm products. We are curious and enjoy sharing and discovering dishes! We will be happy to cook together.

Nous proposons un dortoir dans la ferme. Nous pouvons fournir des draps.
Il est aussi possible de camper sur le terrain. Prévoir son sac de couchage !
Les repas seront pris en commun et préparés ensemble ou en équipe en fonction du nombre de personnes présentes. Les légumes, les oeufs et les petits fruits proviennent de la ferme. Nous sommes ouverts à toutes sortes de régime alimentaire. Nous aimons autant l'un que l'autre cuisiner et découvrir de nouvelles saveurs. Ce sera un plaisir d'échanger autour de la préparation d'un repas.
Nous disposons de toilettes sèches, d'une douche extérieure et d'une douche intérieure.
Nous aimons beaucoup cuisiner nos produits de la ferme. Nous sommes curieux et apprecions partager et decouvrir des plats ! Ce sera avec plaisir que nous cuisinerons ensemble.
What else ...
There are bikes available to get to the lake. You can also lend a car to visit the beautiful medieval city of Puy en Velay, 40 minutes from the farm.
Il y a des velos à disposition pour se rendre au lac. On peut également prêter une voiture pour aller visiter la belle cité médiévale du puy en velay à 40 minutes de la ferme.

Le terrain n'étant pas très plat, il est plus simple de dormir en tente ou dans le dortoir ! Mais vous êtes les bienvenus !

Notre chienne Melba s'entend très bien avec les autres chiens. Elle est très joueuse et dynamique.
