LOOKING FOR SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER FROM NOW UNTIL MID-SEPTEMBER!
We run a fun and social hostel in the heart of Bratislava, capital of Slovakia.
We are looking for staff members for reception, cleaning and entertainment and to build a new hostel! :D
Our place is a well-balanced backpacker's/party hostel, yet the weight is more on the party side as together with our sister hostel we organize parties on a daily basis.
We have a team of 8-14 people at a time which is constantly changing so feel free to contact us any time. If we are in need of someone at the moment we will get back to you as soon as possible.
We get many applications, so when you write, please tell us about yourself and your motivation to assist us. Long essays will (kinda) be read but they’re not fun, so keep it simple :)
We prefer staff to stay for a month and a half ideally, but if you can only stay for two weeks we might need another pair of hands to clean the hostel - and there is always the opportunity to stay longer if you're happy with us and we're happy with you :)
We do accept couples of *friends*, but we do NOT accept couples. Lie to us and you will be sent away on your first day.
Despite the fact that the work has to be properly done, you will have a great time here and meet a bunch of cool people during your stay, just take a look at our feedback at the bottom. :)
You will get free accommodation and food, and an hourly wage on monthly basis in case you want to get involved in our business activities.
Lastly, this is not the best place for those with remote work/classes that have fixed hours.
Lastly part 2: if you come, understand that you will be speaking ONLY in English and that your level should be close to fluent. If you don't think you can do that, please save us the trouble and do not apply.

There is a great opportunity to learn about local traditions, explore the city, its environment and history.
As for the hostel environment, it offers opportunity to meet other travellers, get recommendations and share experiences, thoughts.Host offers payment in line with the minimum wage

I had a wonderful experience at urban. the mamager worked very hard not only for the hostel but to do right by guests and volunteers as wel. very happy to leave some artwork on the walls there but the best part is all the absolutely lovely people I got to meet. I genuinely enjoyed my stay at the hostel. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming, the staff is young and we were all volunteers. As I came it was around 7 people , but then all another cool volunteers came and we became one huge group , so you definitely don't get lonely.
