UPDATE:
Building team and hospitality team are full for the coming months.
And we are looking for someone who is passionate about natural education and being with children, and who wants to join our Forest school team that starts from the beginning of September.
The minimum stay is 3 months, it can be also prolonged, if it feels well for all of us.

Surrounded by the hilly forest of Fruška gora and close to the city of Novi Sad, Serbia, our project is an intentional community in its beginnings.
As this year brings new ideas to be put into practice, we are happy to Šumska for volunteering again, and welcome you on board :)
We are a family-based group of 7 people of different ages, who live and work together while creating a regenerative space, that hosts guests and events around eco-tourism, sustainability and regenerative practices, education, nutrition, art, and culture. The community and the space is named Šumska.

You will have the chance to:
Develop new skills in building with natural materials (earth architecture), see and learn about sustainable and regenerative practices, experience community living, practice your listening and speaking in diverse languages, experience the school led together with children, have time to play, rest, connect to nature of the surrounding forest, experience the power of team-work, meet like-minded people and start new connections, share meals and just feel into the experience itself....

BUILDING TEAM
This year we are continuing to build another two earth homes, and preparing the space for forest school.
All building is done by the principles of earth architecture and natural building.
We are looking for people who are interested in natural building and have some practical experience with the tools and construction to help us out in building, and maintaining the place.

HOSPITALITY TEAM
Besides the construction, we have opened our home to guests, travelers and event participants.
We could use help in preparing the space for guests - like cleaning, helping in the kitchen, gardening and watering the plants...
FOREST SCHOOL TEAM
We started the forest school project 2 years ago for kindergarten children, and we are opening it up again after summer renovations, in the beginning of September - this time also for older children (4 - around 12 year olds).
We are looking for a person who loves being with children and in nature, who is comfortable with natural learning, self-directed, child-led education, and who would like to join our Forest school team.
The minimum stay for the Forest school team is 3 months and it's possible to stay longer, if it feels well for all.

Accommodation
Accommodation from around May - September is in the tents, in the camping area of our garden.
Tents and mattresses can be provided if you don’t have one.
Outside showers and compost toilets are available on-site, as well as the internet connection.
Accommodation from around October - April, on colder days, is in one of our homes.

All participants are welcome to eat with us for meal times.
Food is diverse, tasty and plant-based ( vegan) and is mainly made by our mama Goga, passionate plant based food master, with us as helpers when needed.

OPEN SPACE
After the work hours and on the non-working days the space is open for everyone who wishes to share something they love doing with the others, be it a skill, a workshop, music, dance, a talk, a walk, movement, silent sitting, creating art, seeing a movie.... Here we all create our time together!
