Description
Hello,
I’m Hicham, surfer and photographer from Imsouane, Morocco.
I grew up in this beautiful, small fisherman village on the coast and love to meet people from all over the world to share my passion for surfing, photography, philosophy and the Amazigh (berber) culture.
Since July 2024 I have my own surf camp and I am always looking for a nice volunteer who stays with us and helps us in the daily hostel life here.
At the moment we have to employees:
Me (Hicham) - I work in the hostel as a hostel manager, to do all the check ins, check out, bookings, reservations.
And Abdel is working in cleaning the rooms, apartments and keeping the whole hostel clean.
It's a small but really nice house that can host up to 15 people with 1 dorm, 2 apartments, 3 double rooms and 2 beautiful rooftop terraces where you have an amazing ocean few and a lot of space for yoga or chilling.
We mainly need help in keeping the house clean - like
cleaning the rooms when there are checkouts.
So mainly your daily tasks would be:
- keeping the common area clean (terrace, kitchen, stairs)
- cleaning the rooms when there are checkouts
- doing the laundry of the sheets and towels after checkouts
- taking care of the plants on the terrace
In exchange you can sleep for free in our separate staff dorm (it is in the hostel but has his own entry downstairs so that you have a bit more privacy) & can use our wetsuits and boards for surfing.
And if we have guests who book a trip with us to Timeline Dunes or somewhere else, you can join the trips for free.
We had different volunteers already in the last year and made really good experiences with that.
We ask our volunteers to work around 3 hours per day for 5 days per week - the rest of the day you have free time for surfing, chilling on the beach, exploring the area, ...Types of help and learning opportunities

I'm local from the village Imsouane and I love to share many informations about my Amazigh (Berber) or Moroccan culture with you.
So we can cook dinner in the evening together and you will learn how to cook traditional moroccan tajines or couscous.
You can ask me everything about the Amazigh Culture - i love to share all my knowledge with you
and of course I can also teach you the basic words so you can speak with the local people in the village the traditional language.
Also you can improve or start surfing, because in your free time you can go surfing alone or join our surf classes (for free!).
And you can always join our trips with the guests to really nice and secret local spots in the area - so you will see a lot of nice and hidden nature spots.Help

We cook breakfast for the guests and then also for you.
If there is no breakfast for the guests you can use the stuff in the kitchen to prepare your own breakfast.
And then we have dinner for the guests and you can eat with them.
Also here - if there is a day where no guests have dinner you can use the food in the kitchen to prepare your own dinner.A little more information
