Description
Finka is a 25 acre farm in Playa La Saladita, Mexico, an 8 minute drive or 15 minute bike ride from the famous Saladita surf wave. Originally a mono-crop mango farm, the land was left untouched for nearly 10 years. Finka was purchased in 2021 as a platform to promote sustainable/regenerative agriculture, build community and co-create. The farm is run by a collective of artists, designers, permaculture experts and thinkers who share a passion for nature, eduction, giving back and creating a better world.
We are looking for people with experience in the following fields:
Permaculture
Food forests
Compost systems
Bio construction (clay building)
Sustainable energy
Animal care

In June 2022 we planted a large sintropic food forest a Finka, making us one of the most exciting regenerative agriculture projects in Mexico. Volunteers will get to participate in the project and learn about regenerative farming techniques.
Help
We are looking for volunteers who want to help on the farm There's also new structures constantly being created, so construction help is always welcome.

Private safari tents and tipis. Shared bathrooms, showers and a communal kitchen and dining area.
We have a shared kitchen on the farm for all volunteers to use. It has refrigerators, range, wood fired oven, a vitamix, toaster etc. Every week there is at least 1 trip to Zihuatanejo for groceries. We are also growing a tremendous amount of food on the farm and within a year should be largely self sustaining. We cook and eat many meals together throughout the week and the rest people just grab something for themselves from groceries or farm produce. Right now there are unlimited mangos for the taking :)What else ...
We are 1 mile from Playa La Saladita - a world class surf break. There's also fishing, kayaking, biking, art, music and more.
