Description
We are a family of 5 living in a beautiful organic farm at 15km from Marrakech. I am Yasmina, passionate about regenerative agriculture, simple and authentic life and grateful of great Nature abundance in every ways.
I am using permaculture principles and a bit of a local know how to build a food forest based on fruit trees such as apricots peachs figues. We are trying to tend to a resilient and sufficient way of life, as well as encourage biodiversity and honor nature in our everyday life. We are growing organic almonds on 2ha, organic apricot on 1ha, oranges and lemons on 2ha, our house - built with earth blocks and wooden roofs the traditional Moroccan way - is surrounded by our organic vegetable garden and food forest on the start - and you can cross the path of our dogs, chickens, ducks, donkeys and sheep’s on your way to the workawayers little house. There is a lot of projects to achieve and to help set up, from seeding to organizing, naming the crops and the trees, gardening, composting, reaping and conserving, working on the fences, helping with the animals ...a lot to do but always keep an eye on the Atlas Mountain while the sun is setting down! And repeat 😄.
We expect from our visitors a helping hand with the supper, and to keep their space clean and tidied up. Bikes and car rides are also available when needed and fit into the over all program !Types of help and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Our region is wonderful as it is set à the edge of the Atlas Mountains, with the Berber tradition and specific way of life. The ourika valley is green and colorful, and the city of Marrakech is 30min drive bus, and is so unique by its architecture, crafts and authentic Medina. The farm is nested in a rural village known for it’s Sunday market, very typical one. We try to get the most of the European and the Moroccan culture and cuisine, and top it with the permaculture philosophy, which make it quite special experience !

Help
The help is needed in planting and pruning mulching composting preparing soil for new seeding , organizing, even building and/or repairing the fences, the pathways, general maintenance of the buildings. We expect the workawayers to be hard worker, dedicated and able to fulfill the work on their own once the task is clarified, as we certainly be busy doing so ourselves ! New ideas are welcomed, as well as a touch of mindfulness and conscious living.
We demand that the workers remain responsable for cleaning and keeping their spaces cleared and fresh. We provide breakfast and ask for collective dinner prep and kitchen help. No lunch included - the village is nearby and the studio’s kitchen is all set for use except for collective couscous day :-).
