You would get in touch with Lao people and find out more about their culture, their rituals and traditions during having discussions with them. You would mostly stay in Vientiane but joining us to selected field trips can be considered. You would also learn more about the agriculture, banking and economic landscape of Laos during the classes.
You will be part of our team, have the chance to travel into remote areas and get in touch with different ethnic groups in Laos.
You will spend the time with our Lao staff which will introduce the Lao culture to you, if possible you can join them on their field trips.
Its a pleasure introducing you to Lao food, coffee and tea.
Our project focuses on farmers and microfinance cooperatives. We support them in different topics with the goal to strengthen their skills, especially in the way of business administration and financial literacy but also in more productive ways to grow or raise their products, and empower them to be sustainable entrepreneurs. Gender equality and climate impacts play also an important role in our consultancy job.

This host offers a language exchange
Our staff members have the need to practice their English and learn more about using the language in their daily work. We need a teacher in grammar and also for practicing presentations and having conversations. In reverse we can introduce the Lao language to you if you are interested.

    Accommodation

As in the office there is no room available for staying there, we will have an accommodation ready, when you arrive here. We support a one room apartment with ensuite bathroom in western style, close to the office but also close to the city center and cultural sightseeing places. Vientiane is a very safe and cheap place to live and as it is the smallest capital in Asia the ways are very short. Our office is located in Sisattanak District of Vientiane, the area where the expat community lives. Embassies, international schools, restaurants and cafes are in walking distance to the office.

We would offer a remuneration fee which covers food and also includes a compensation for transportation costs. Public transportation is not really developed in Vientiane. Hiring a motorbike, call Taxis and Biketaxis or use Tuktuks is the most convincing way to travel within the city.
