I'm Lara a 40 something remote worker always open to meeting new people. As I like to travel I need help with petsitting, elder company for my 77 year old mother and general help in Porches, 5 mins to the beach of Armação de Pêra

We're an oddball mother and daughter from the UK who love Portugal and want to meet new and interesting people. Both of us cook classic English and European food and love to talk culture and politics. We're happy to cook and be cooked for, but are equally happy to allow guests to be independent.
Help
General house and plant/garden upkeep. Keeping my 77 year old mother company and supplied with groceries. Feeding, and looking out for 2 cats plus occasionally feeding local strays. Most of the day is yours but I need more help than a basic house sit. Our home is not modern, but it is caring.

I want to widen my language knowledge especially Portuguese and Spanish but I'm also interested in learning others. I'm a native UK English speaker and have a interest in online communication especially making things easy to understand for all, known as plain English in the UK.
Accommodation
A basement double +1 room, with light from glass bricks, en suite shower room. Access to patio, roof terrace and kitchen. Private or social being up to you. The room is a typical Portuguese +1 room, unlinked to the rest of the house and whilst there is no real window there is a door with fly screen. The room includes a double bed and single sofa bed. The shower room has a frosted glass tilting window overlooking the outside shower and downstairs patio, featuring a laundry area, coffee making facilities and a fridge.
What else ...
Porches is a very quiet and typical Algarve village 5 mins from nossa senhora da rocha chapel and the beach town of Armação de Pêra. There are local busses and cycling access is great. We're lucky enough to have access to several restaurants and bars including a modern petiscos bar 1 minute walk from the house. They serve seasonal Portuguese food and solely portugese wine. It's a favourite stop for us for casual dining and great hosts.
