    Description

We are a multilingual and artistic family living on an organic farm with goats, donkeys, a horse, and many dogs and cats. Our farm consists of olive trees, a variety of fruit trees, a vegetable garden, a greenhouse and lots of wooded land and open fields. We want to live self-sufficiently and in harmony with nature.

We are surrounded by magnificent wild nature and blessed with a flowing river and no neighbours in sight. We are happy to welcome children, we unschool our own here on the farm, but unfortunately we cannot receive your four-legged friends as we cannot guarantee that our dogs will be as friendly to them as they are to humans!

We try to find times as a family to spend in silence and meditation although it can be challenging. We would welcome a daily yoga practice if we can make space for it with all the work on the farm.

If you like the simple life, wild nature, hiking, mountain biking, horse riding, milking goats, swimming in rivers, then we might be the place for you!

There exist corners of the world that maintain their value, both in terms of tradition and lifestyle, and in regards to the natural environment. One such place is the upper valley of the Albegna river, in southern Tuscany.

Moving inland from the Maremma coast as we climb up narrow winding roads, an ageless landscape reveals itself. Imposing limestone rocks that form gorges and cliffs, enveloped in thick woods and surrounded by cultivated fields delimited by age-old hedges. Tiny perched villages, bursting with history but forgotten by the chronicles, dot a territory where silence still exists.

We want to work on a future campsite with eco-toilet and really hope to attract artists and carpenters who want to create dwellings that coexist with nature, tree houses, yurts, tepees, geodesic domes….

We are looking for conscious people who are motivated to create a paradise together with love and dedication. Self-sufficient people with a spirit of initiative and enthusiasm, willing to get their hands dirty. There are so many possibilities and lots of work to be done!

We can work out the details on a video call once we connect and if we are a good match!

Workawayers are not asked to help with any commercial activity and no produce is sold.

    Help

We are looking for people/families to work in our vegetable garden and on the farm, including help with the farm animals. We need help starting from springtime up until the olive harvest in the autumn. Young people/families who ideally have some experience with farm life.

If we are a good match in the long run we are looking for permanent help in the managing the homestead. If we resonate with each other, we can evaluate options to stay for good...

We are searching for a person/family to look after the farm and outhouses and to take care of the maintenance and manual work such as the repair of animal fences and construction of platforms for yoga and meditation.

We are looking for conscious people who are motivated to create a paradise together with love and dedication. Self-sufficient people with a spirit of initiative and enthusiasm, willing to get their hands dirty. There are so many possibilities and lots of work to be done, for example we plan to build a ‘glamping’ campsite and organise workshops.

So, we really hope to attract artists and carpenters who want to create dwellings that coexist with nature, tree houses, yurts, tepees, geodesic domes….

Given the constant changes in the world, we prefer to meet first through video calls and get to know each other better. We speak Italian, English, Dutch and a little bit of a few other languages ...

Having your own car is essential to move around this area (if you don't, we might be able to organise a ride)

Workawayers are not asked to help with any commercial activity and no produce is sold.

    Thank you, see you soon!

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

A space for camper-vans is available beneath the barn as well as spaces for tents where there is an existing platform used for a yurt (in need of restoration), and where electricity and water are already accessible.
We are surrounded by magnificent nature and a flowing river below us with no neighbours in sight.
Depending on the availability, we have two separate guest houses, each with a kitchen-dining room and two double bedrooms with one bathroom, a large porch with a view of the woods, lots of outdoor space and a playground for children.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

The local village is 4km away and has two grocery stores, a bar and a restaurant, a new one opening up next spring!
There is Mount Amiata only 40 min away where there is a bicycle and climbing adventure park and there are numerous more lively towns surrounding the extinct volcano. There are various thermal hot springs nearby and we are bordered by 3 nature reserves. Lots of hiking, cycling and swimming in rivers. The seaside is a little over an hour away and represents some of the mediterraneans most spectacular coast.
There are busses towards Amiata and towards Grosseto.

Workawayers are not asked to help with any commercial activity and no produce is sold.
