We are running a 30 to 40 dog kennel on the Kenai Peninsula. The dogs are a very imprtant part of our lives and are more like a family to us.
While we compete in a number of races, just working with these dogs is a pleasure.

We are looking for a reliable person to help in our sled dog kennel. This will involve feeding, cleaning up, some maintenance, some participation in training and spending time cuddling the dogs. The longer you are there, the more the involvement.

A dry cabin is available now, but a cabin with shower and toilet should be ready soon. It would be good for a helper to be partially independent in regard to their own food. We will give a stipend of $ 250 to pay for food and costs. It may increase depending on your involvement.
There is an abundance of outdoor activities available. Fishing, hiking, kayaking and crosscountry skiing depending on the time of year. From early December to late January the daylight hours will be short. Summer is the best time for fishing and hiking.
We are located about 1 mile away from the Stirling Highway and halfway between Kasilof and Ninilchik on the Kenai Peninsula. This is a somewhat remote location. To make the most out of the experience it would be best to have your own transport, but it is not essential.
