My name is Tino, proffesional sailor, boatbuilder and enthusiastic facilitator of all things afloat, the simpler the better. I am looking for help in establishing a non commercial sailing club with environmental awarness and a view to revitalize our local Ria.
I have recently found some roots on the beautiful shores of Galicia, Spain, where I am working hard to promote a community based, sustainable approach to revitalizing the available local Rias for wind and muscle powered watersports. I am hoping to combine the influx of foreign talent and energy with the local need for a reconnection to forgotten trades and pleasures based aound the local waters.
I have collected various craft of different sizes and want to use those to open eyes and create awareness of the often forgotten simplicity encountered afloat.

I hope to attract people willing to work towards the common goal of sharing time afloat and passing on the love and respect for oceans and their shorelines.
This project is a non commercial, community based idea of establishing a sailing club and to promote sustainable river uses. I am hoping to establish long term relations with interested workaway friends to help me realize this dream.
The season here is coming to an end now, days getting shorter.
We have had some great help around the boats and our other projects.
I am now looking for a few volunteers to join me on a big effort to dig out the groundfloor of the old fishing cottage we are rebuilding in the port of Espasante. This is to take place during the last week of October, I will add the last minute option for this.
There might or might not be last opportunities to get on the water with boats, but this project calls for volunteers able to put in some hard physical work as well as enjoy the Galician countryside this late in the season. It is also a great time for surf enthusiasts to join us, Espasante has some good days of swell during late october.
Later in the year and leading into 2024 I hope to make time for a conventrated effort to rebuild thentraditional river launch we rescued some time ago, hoping to fit electric propulsion and have her available as the club launch.
This project is for watersports and sailing skills orientated people with practical skills, willing to share expertise and ideas about a long term community project.
