    Description

Hello community! We are Ariane, Kirren and Luca (born July 2024!). We live on a 14-acre very lush and private property with river views and stunning sunsets in Broadwater, Northern Rivers NSW. The place is gorgeous but we need some help!

We are looking for help with outdoor tasks (mowing, weeding, mulching, clearing etc.) and indoor tasks (cleaning, baby sitting, cooking). Ideas and inspiration are very welcome - let us know what you can help with.

We can accept a single, pair or small family in private accommodation. Lots of flexibility for hours.

We haven't had any volunteers here yet but we have volunteered at many places across south and central America in 2022-23.

Look forward to hearing from you :)

Things to be aware of before you apply:

    - We are on tank water and septic. We welcome volunteers who are committed to preserving water and looking after the environment (this means being careful what you put down the drains, composting, disposing of rubbish thoughtfully etc.)

    - We are in the bush, meaning we share this place with animals. There are birds, spiders, bugs, mosquitos, the occasional snake, possums, frogs, cicadas etc.

    - We are more than happy to share experiences, dinners, outings etc., but we are also juggling lots of things, so independence is important. A vehicle is ideal here.

    - We don't currently have internet connected in the guest accommodation but there is good phone signal to hotspot and internet nearer to the house.

    - The studio has a dry composting toilet (and shower etc.)

In your application, please let us know a little about yourself, your interest/experience in the tasks, how you will make the most of the quiet rural life, and if you have your own transport.

    Help

We are looking for all sorts of help!

We are seeking practical help with all types of farm/property tasks such as mowing, whipper snipping, fencing, weeding, collecting fruit, planting/tending vegetable gardens, weeding, path clearing etc. There are ample opportunities for skilled trades, and general skills. It is all new so the possibilities are endless! There are opportunities for some more creative tasks too. The primary focus is general maintenance, but from there we are very happy to explore other ideas for projects. There may be specific projects in motion that you could help with.

We are also after help inside the main house - cleaning, help with the baby, cooking etc. and helping to decorate the guest accommodation etc.

We are in a rural location of Broadwater NSW and independent transport would be ideal. The Northern Rivers is a beautiful area and this part is unique surrounded by rivers, beaches and sugar cane fields.
