Amazing!
We stayed at his place and where welcomed with open arms by him and his family. On the weekend he provided us ski equipment and a ride, if needed. He also invited us to family dinners and activities during Christmas and New Year. We ate a Lot of national dishes and felt like we're part of his Family. During work he was patient and showed

I had a great time at Ole's. Building the cabin was great fun, I learned a lot of new things and was definitely inspired for my future project. Also all the interaction in the group was great, whether it was baking together, having a cold bath in the morning, going to the sauna or on a hike on a sunny day.
In the evenings we either played cards,

What a experience! We stayed with Ole for two weeks on the mountain farm during August. We helped him with renovating his mountain farm while our main task was Paneling.
Ole is an open, warm-hearted person. During work (and also in spare time) you can ask him any question, no matter how stupid it is;)

Mattes is an exceptional WorkAway’er and an incredible person. He stayed with me in the mountains near Vinstra, helping renovate the floors of what used to be my family's summer farm. Despite the demanding tasks— ripping out wooden floors, digging, insulating, and pouring concrete — Mattes approached each one with enthusiasm and determination. His

What made the experience even more enjoyable was Mattes' positive attitude and great sense of humor. Whether we were working hard or taking a break, he always brought a positive energy that made even the toughest jobs fun.
During his stay, we enjoyed many skiing trips, extended adventure time lunch breaks, and fun evenings playing cards, dice, and watching movies. Our weekends snowboarding were particularly memorable.
Mattes is not only a hardworking and dedicated individual but also kind, thoughtful, and always considerate of those around him. The best word to describe him is "genuine." He has a warm and adventurous spirit that made his stay unforgettable.
I highly recommend Mattes as a WorkAwayer and look forward to future visits.
Kind regards and all the best,
Ole

Ole is an amazing hos. I stayed with him in the mountains near Vinstra on what formerly was the family's summerfarm, renovating the floors (from ripping out wooden floors over digging and insulating to pouring concrete + various miscellaneous tasks). I experienced the tasks mostly as drudging, but with Ole working alongside me at all times, it was
… read more actually enjoyable nonetheless. It was the first time I was doing this sort of demolition and construction tasks, but with Ole's guidance, everything was doable.
Sometimes, if the weather was good, we extended our lunch break to go for skiing trips. Otherwise we spent our free time playing cards or dice (or burnt monopoly) or watched movies and on the weekends we went snowboarding.
The word that I think describes Ole best is wholesome. He is incredibly kind and loving, always looking out for everybody around him. The word that I think describes my stay at Ole's best is adventurous, but I think I won't elaborate on this.
Kind regards and nothing but love for you.

I had the opportunity to stay with Ole for two weeks at his summer cabin in the mountains near Vinstra. I had a lovely time there helping out with the restoration work, playing card games, and skiing in the surrounding area.
Most of the work was focused on renovating the old summer farm of Ole's family, which included putting in new floors and
… read more demolishing the old walls. This kind of work was sort of new to me, but Ole managed to help me out with working with the different tools and learning how to tackle a renovation like he was doing. It was very educational.
After working hours, we played all sorts of card games or watched series and movies. When the opportunity was there during my free time I went on different ski trips. The ski tracks started right in front of the door, which was amazing. The surrounding area was gorgeous and one I will not forget.
I stayed with Ole during Easter, and it was very hospitable of him and his family to involve me in their Easter traditions and activities.
Living kind of remotely in the mountains can have its difficulties and challenges, but it was for sure worth it to be in such an amazing environment and with a very kind and open host. You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

We have been so lucky to host the Amazing Amy. She stayed at our place over a period of several months.
