    Description

We are a family of five with two girls aged 7 and 5 and a boy aged 2. We live in a beautiful spacious home close to two lovely market towns, with lots of space in the big garden and paddock. The three children all go to school in the next door village (about five minutes away). We all moved out of London this year and are having fun exploring the countryside and making new friends. We have lots of family in the area and enjoy swimming, horse riding, arts & crafts and reading!

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

We will regularly host family and friends to stay (parents and children!). We are active within the local community, in the household we speak some Spanish and French, we read poetry daily with the children, as well as working with local arts and crafts, we regularly visit local historical attractions, local gardens and go on hikes and tours around the beautiful Welsh marches. We hope to learn from Workawayers about their home cultures and interests, and about their perspectives on some of modern life's challenges and opportunities! Both mum and dad have lived and worked overseas before and we all share a keen interest in travelling to and learning from other cultures!

  • Help

    Help

We are looking for general help around the home, helping alongside mum and dad to care for the children and keep the house in good order. We love cooking and eating together, playing and learning together - wholesome family life in the countryside! We are also looking for help maybe once or twice a week in the evenings so mum and dad can start seeing their adult family and friends, go to the local theatre, etc.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

The nearest train station is about 5 km away. It takes about 2.5 / 3 hours to get to London. There is lots to do locally if you like historic market towns such as Ludlow or Tenbury Wells, there are open gardens and castles to visit, incredible hikes in the nearby Shropshire Hills and in Radnorshire (just over the border into Wales). There is mountain biking, wild swimming, horse riding, Hereford Cathedral (one of the oldest and most significant in the UK!), and in Hereford there is cinema, shopping and great restaurants..
