    If child care, Community work and desire to share knowledge is what you want to do, then you can be effective in making a lasting difference to someone's life. Come and experience a volunteering experience that will be a reward, gift and make memories to last a life time.

    We are a community development project which envisions in bringing socio-economic transformation by caring, educating children and their mothers.

    Our passion is to connect with people allover the world to empower children and mothers to learn new skills, ways of thinking and cultural exchange. We are legally registered with the local government here in Uganda.

    We are undertaking a number of activities that include:-
    1. Teaching at our school handling children of ages 3 -14 years.
    2. Home based care for children.
    3. Adult tailoring and crafts classes.
    4. Girl child education support.
    5. Organic farming.
    6. General maintenance and physical construction.
    7. Sports training in both girls and boys football, netball and other indoor games.

    At the house, we have 13 children yet there are many we cannot support and the mothers we serve. These children are innocent, curious, they have the energy and are willing to learn.

    We have internet signal at the project and access in the nearest town. We offer home stay, with a bed, mosquito nets, portable chairs, electricity and water. The available pets are a dog and two rabbits in the compound, with a garden with good nature.

    Help

    Our work day is very flexible, starting at eight in the morning, tea break at around 10:30 and ending at lunch time. Volunteers can also be asked to help with the evening chores and the preparation of supper.

    Because of the diversity of our project, there is a large range of activities to do at all times throughout the year. As a working project, the time of the year will determine your activities including:-

    Home based children care and support.
    Help in house work with the 13 children to make their meals, play games, counseling and mentoring, escorting and bringing them back to school.

    School Assistance.
    -Assisting the teachers with music, sports, art and craft and curriculum subjects.
    -Help in cooking porridge and food, serving both the kids and the staff, and washing utensils.
    -Training children and mothers in tailoring, crafts and counseling.
    -Searching for partnership opportunities with other projects.

    Organic farming.
    The project has an organic garden for growing vegetables and crops which are are used for our feeding program. That activities here include weeding, planting and harvesting, tree nursery and transplanting.

    You can also take on animal graizing in the fields and milking, chicken feeding.

    Project Management.
    We are looking for opportunities to further develop and improve the project.

    The other areas which require attention include computer training, art and craft, fundraising and promoting the works of our organization for more partnerships. We welcome you.

    Your involvement will increase on our efficiency and sustainability.

    Videography:
    Creation of a YouTube channel that captures and markets project activities like climate change, story telling, daily routine and girls children issues.

    For those interested in videography, we do not have any equipment here. So, you can help and come along with yours.

    We offer home stay, volunteers will share a house with the host but provided with a separate private bedroom with a bed, mosquito net, volunteers if they wish they can carry there own towels and sleeping bags.

    While here, you will have an opportunity to interact with the local community and the beautiful environment. The community is a home of free range tamed animals including cows, goats, dogs, rabbits and the like.

    The project will keep you busy during the week days but there are many fascinating places to visit during your free time in the evenings and the weekends.

    You will have memorable times at the caves, falls and plantations on mountain Elgon, wanale. Sipi falls and local languages and the culture.
