  Description

  Hello,
  We are looking for volunteers to collaborate in a holistic project that embraces various techniques from permaculture to organic agriculture through other types of humanistic therapies that we are starting in the west of Cartagena. The project is based on core values ​​that are respect and love for the environment, care and love for people, self-sufficiency and resilience. I am in charge of the project, Verónica, I will be the person present most of the time, although there are collaborators who will come to visit us from time to time if training needs arise, or for specific jobs.
  We have two separate spaces about 2 kilometers where we are experimenting and applying the knowledge and techniques that we are learning. Given that the project is in its initial phase, there are many interesting things to do in terms of bio-construction and arboreal and vegetative design.
  
  It is important that people who write to us do not have a problem with spending time alone or introspection. We are quite busy people and, although we will try as much as possible to share time with the volunteers, it will not always happen.

  Buscamos voluntari@s para colaborar en un proyecto holístico que abraza técnicas diversas desde la permacultura hasta la agricultura orgánica pasando por otro tipo de terapias humanistas que estamos iniciando en la zona Oeste de Cartagena. El proyecto se apoya en unos valores centrales que son el respeto y amor al medioambiente, el cuidado y amor hacia las personas, la autosuficiencia y la resiliencia. Al frente del proyecto estoy yo, Verónica, seré la persona presente la mayor parte del tiempo, aunque hay colaboradores que vendrán a visitarnos de vez en cuando si surgen necesidades formativas, o de trabajos específicos.
  Disponemos de dos espacios separados unos 2 kilómetros donde vamos experimentando y aplicando los conocimientos y técnicas que vamos aprendiendo. Dado que el proyecto está en su fase inicial, quedan muchas cosas interesantes por hacer en cuánto a bioconstrucción y diseño arbóreo y vegetativo.
  
  Es importante que las personas que nos escriban no tengan problemas con pasar periodos a solas o de introspección. Somos personas bastante ocupadas y, aunque intentaremos en la medida de lo posible compartir tiempo con los voluntarios, no siempre ocurrirá.

  Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

  In the spaces, we will carry out workshops that volunteers can attend for free to take away small seeds of knowledge of the place 😊. What surrounds us is made up mainly of dry land with carob and almond trees and we are very close to La Muela and Roldán (mountains of Cartagena), as well as Portús, which is a beautiful natural beach.
  
  En los espacios iremos realizando talleres a los que los voluntarios podrán acudir de forma gratuita para llevarse pequeñas semillas de conocimiento del lugar 😊.
  Lo que nos rodea está constituido principalmente por terrenos de secano con algarrobos y almendros y estamos muy cerca de La Muela y el Roldán (montes de Cartagena), así como del Portús que es una hermosa playa natural.

  Help

  We are looking for two calm, responsible, self-sufficient and (hopefully) perfectionist people who are in line with the principles described at the beginning and who can collaborate with the growth of the project 4 hours a day in exchange for accommodation and food. One of them must have knowledge of bioconstruction or construction in general and both should not have problems in carrying out tasks that require some physical effort. The first task to be carried out is the construction of a tool shed to store the garden tools. In addition, there are types of recurring tasks such as maintaining the gardens and areas outside the house applying watering, fertilizers, pruning, etc. as well as the orchard of fruit trees with all its corresponding tasks. Some of the future tasks that we would like to carry out: - Dry water
  - Recycling of gray and black water from the house including phytoremediation basin
  - Construction of chicken coop
  - Planting of native flora hedge
  
  
  Se buscan a dos personas tranquilas, responsables, autosuficientes y perfecionistas que estén en consonancia con los principios descritos al inicio y que puedan colaborar con el crecimiento del proyecto 5 horas al día a cambio de alojamiento y comida.
  
  Conocimientos de bioconstrucción o construcción en general y ambas no deberían tener problemas en realizar labores que requieran cierto esfuerzo físico.
  
  La primera tarea a realizar es la construcción de una caseta de aperos para guardar los útiles de los huertos. Además, existen tipos de tareas recurrentes como mantener los jardines y zonas del exterior de la casa aplicando riegos, abonos, podas, etc. así como el huerto de árboles frutales con todas sus labores correspondientes.
  
  Algunas de las tareas futuras que nos gustaría realizar:
  - Water seco
  - Reciclaje de aguas grises y negras de la casa incluyendo balsa de fitorremediación
  - Construcción de gallinero
  - Plantación de seto de flora autóctona

  Accommodation

  In one of the plots there is a HOUSE with rooms and a pool to cool off in summer. The accommodations in the house are shared with two single beds per room or individual rooms depending on the availability of each moment. The bathroom and kitchen will be shared.
  
  En una de las parcelas hay una CASA con habitaciones y una piscina para refrescarse en verano. Los alojamientos en la casa son compartidos con dos camas individuales por habitación o habitaciones individuales dependiendo de la disponibilidad de cada momento. El baño y la cocina serán compartidos.

  What else ...

  El aeropuerto más cercano es Alicante. Existe un mini-bus con el que poder desplazarse y también se podrían realizar desplazamientos en bicicleta. Si estamos disponibles no tendríamos inconveniente en llevar o recoger a los voluntarios durante su tiempo libre.
