Description
I am German and have been living in Andalucía/Spain for 30 years, have two wonderful children, both were born in Andalucía. And am a happy grandmother for a couple of years now.
I dedicated most of my professional life-time to Fair Trade and Solidarity Economy.
I live in the very heart of Córdoba´s historic center, and am happy to share my home and introduce you to Córdoba´s very active social and cultural life. I am a social activist, with different engagements and dreams, and am happy to tell you more about them when we meet! I would love to welcome you here!

Córdoba has a unique history of peaceful living together of cultures and religions, which is extremely enriching. Added to this, the Andalusian way of life will surely help you to enjoy your stay. Córdoba has a very broad cultural offer, with many events for free. And, depending on the time of the year, you will be able to share and enjoy within a small group of like-minds (workways and people sharing the - big - house, with its community spaces (two courtyards, an outdoor kitchen and a terrace).

You will contribute to the care and maintenance of a medieval house (10th century) in the very heart of the historic center of magic Córdoba. You will enjoy Córdoba´s unique history and our multicultural environment and be part of very diverse conversations in the typical Andalusian courtyard. So much to learn from each other. We welcome persons from a huge diversity of social and cultural activities. Welcome to the world!
Depending on your knowledge and interests and the support needed (varies by season and workload), your help will contribute to maintaining our medieval home, with cleaning and general maintenance of community spaces, or contribute to the necessary renovations/building or general maintenance and DIY. Your accommodation is provided for. Due to the experienced enormous diversity of cooking/food/nutritional culture, food is not provided, we have reduced working hours 1.5 hours to compensate.

Córdoba is a magic place. You will not get bored. Córdoba was Europe´s biggest city in the 10th century, and has an outstanding historic-cultural heritage, so much to see, so much to do, each stone tells a story.
But it is not a dead city, living in the past. It has a vivid life, strong social movements and networks (solidarity, ecological, women, youth, political, etc.), where it will be very easy for you to get in contact with interesting initiatives and people. And it has a wonderful cultural life, you will be able to see many sights, exhibitions and concerts for free, the year is full of local festivities, all surrounded by music (flamenco, guitarr, jazz, classical), good food and pleasant company. You will just love Córdoba, it is pure magic!
