Goldilocks and the Three Bears 🐻

Hi, I’m Sophia, a mother of four wonderful children aged 0-13. We live in the beautiful Danish countryside, surrounded by nature, where we live in a small farm with horses, sheep, and cats. Our home is small, full of life, and while we enjoy a calm and simple lifestyle.

My family has recently transitioned from homeschooling to attending school and daycare.

I work from home and could use some help looking after kids and with general household tasks.

We are a Christian family and are inspired by the teachings of Rudolf Steiner, which helps guide our approach to raising the children. We live by strong values, enjoy healthy meals, and make the most of the nature around us. Whether it’s tending to the animals, spending time in the Forrest, or having a campfire in the evening, we love to embrace the outdoors and share these experiences with others.

We are a very social family with friends and acquaintances from Germany, Norway, Poland, Romania, Lithuania, and Thailand. This makes our home a vibrant place for cultural exchange, and we’d love to share this with you.

If you enjoy spending time in nature, love animals, and are open to helping a family that thrives on community and creativity, we would be thrilled to welcome you here!

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

By staying with us, you’ll experience life with an alternative family. We have relaxed values but maintain firm daily rhythms, living differently from many traditional families. Our lifestyle combines a love for nature, creativity, and structure, offering a unique experience.

You’ll have the chance to immerse yourself in the peaceful Danish countryside while interacting with our animals. You can learn about permaculture and biodynamic farming, as well as outdoor living through nature exploration, animal care, and enjoying the beautiful surroundings.

We also love music and can exchange knowledge, while improving your cooking skills with fresh, homegrown ingredients. Additionally, we welcome you to join our church activities if you’re interested in experiencing that aspect of our community.

If you’re looking for a cultural exchange, you’ll meet a diverse network of friends from different countries, practice language skills (Danish, English, German, and Portuguese), and explore sustainable living, family rhythms, and more.

  • Help

    Help

We live a busy but joyful life, so having an extra pair of hands will make a big difference!

I am looking for help with the youngest kids, especially Rosemary who is 14 month.

In addition to caring for Rosemary, we’d appreciate help with some light household tasks, such as tidying up, meal preparation, or helping with the other children when they are home from school. If you have a love for animals, there are plenty of opportunities to help with our horses.

We also live in a beautiful natural area with plenty of walking paths, and if you’re interested, you can even take the horses for a ride to the sea.
