Description
It is an ecological family farm with 2 hectares of crops and pastures and 2 hectares of forest.
The farm consists of poultry, goats, bees; this is a small family farm so we only 2 goats and a goat, thirty chickens, a goose, a turkey and a few rabbits, a retired mare.
The farm also has a vegetable garden, a greenhouse, fruit trees and small fruits (berries).
We have 2 dogs and 2 cats. We have one hive :(
We produce for home consumption (and exchange, barter), organically and we draw on different techniques such as natural farming (Fukuoka) the biodynamic gardening with the moon, the BRF etc ...
We are 4 people on this farm, Celia and Thibault and two children aged 5 and 12 years and Gilead Fantine.
We work both outside (in education and teaching). We have a lot of "free" time at home, especially Celia. We would also like some help for child care on small moments in the week (before or after school) when we go to work.
We practice Aikido (Aikido Kobayashi) 2 nights a week, you are welcome to come with us if you are interested. If you practice already, it's even more exciting!
We are very interested in Japanese culture, gastronomy, garden art, language, cinema ...
Thibault is a little musician (guitar, violin, N'Goni).
Current projects (April-May-June): spring crops in the garden and in the greenhouse (sowing, planting, spreading compost and manure), and various gardening.
Construction of a shelter (box) for the mare. Resumption of the fence.
Climb a fence around the garden (against chickens). Cut firewood.
Installation and hutches of concrete masonry / Cleaning the pool / work at home (breaking the tiles in the bathroom, pull carpets, breaking the cement outside the home), painting the shutters and garden furniture .
We prefer to host volunteers for periods of "long" that is greater than 3 weeks. This is according to us the minimum to really share and culturally for our host could take his bearings, front part of the house and helps us in various tasks. We have already received volunteers as "au pair" and this is what seems the richest and exciting.
We prefer to host volunteers who speak French, even little, because Thibault speaks good English but Celia moderately. In addition to communicating with children you have to speak a little French!

C'est une ferme familiale écologique avec 2 hectares de culture et prairies et 2 hectares de forêt.
La ferme se compose de volaille, chèvres, abeilles ; c'est une petite ferme familiale donc nous avons seulement 2 chèvres et un bouc, une trentaine de poulets, une oie, une dinde et quelques lapins, une jument à la retraite.
La ferme a aussi un potager, une serre, des arbres fruitiers et des petits fruits (baies).
Nous avons 2 chiens et 2 chats. Il nous reste une seule ruche :(
Nous produisons pour l'autoconsommation (et l'échange, le troc), de façon biologique et nous nous inspirons de différentes techniques comme l'agriculture naturelle (Fukuoka) la biodynamie, le jardinage avec la lune, le BRF etc...
Nous sommes 4 personnes dans cette ferme, Célia et Thibault et deux enfants de 6 et 14 ans Galaad et Fantine.
Nous travaillons tous les deux à l'extérieur (dans l'éducation et l'enseignement). Nous avons du temps "libre" à la maison. Nous avons besoin d'aide pour la garde d'enfant sur des petits moments dans la semaine (avant ou après l'école, 4 fois par semaine maximum) quand nous allons au travail.
Nous pratiquons l’Aïkido (Aikido Kobayashi), vous êtes les bienvenus pour venir avec nous si cela vous intéresse. Si vous pratiquez déjà, c'est encore plus passionnant !
Nous sommes très intéressés par la culture japonaise, sa gastronomie, son art du jardin, sa langue, son cinéma ...
Thibault est un peu musicien (guitare, violon, N'Goni).
Projets actuels automne 2017:
Finir la construction d'une grange en charpente traditionnelle : bardage, planchers, escalier, couverture en bois.
Jardinage d'automne et d'hiver.
Nous préférons accueillir des volontaires pour des durées "longues" c'est à dire 6 semaines environ minimum. C'est selon nous le minimum pour vraiment échanger culturellement et pour que notre hôte puisse prendre ses repères, face partie de la maison et nous aide dans diverses tâches. Nous avons déjà accueillie des volontaires comme des "au pair" et c'est ce qui nous paraît le plus riche et passionnant.
Nous préférons accueillir des volontaires qui maîtrisent le français, même peu, car Thibault parle bien l'anglais mais Célia moyennement. De plus pour communiquer avec les enfants il faut parler un peu le français !

Here one can learn a lot about gardening, gardening in particular the theories we work (biodynamic, natural farming Fukuoka, permaculture, lunar calendar) but also small basic techniques.
We learn to care for the animals, milking goats to make cheese, bread, and full of French cuisine, Mediterranean and Japanese.
the French are taught for one can help you improve it (I'm a professor of geography and history of French).

Ici on peut apprendre plein de choses sur le jardinage, le maraîchage et notamment les théories que nous travaillons (biodynamie, agriculture naturelle de Fukuoka, permaculture, calendrier lunaire) mais aussi les petites techniques de bases.
On apprend à s'occuper des animaux, à traire les chèvres, à faire du fromage, du pain, et plein de cuisines françaises, méditerranéennes et japonaises.
On apprend le français car on peut vous aider à l'améliorer (je suis professeur d'histoire géographie et de français).
On peut apprendre l'aikido avec nous.
On peut parler de musique, de voyage, d'art, de cinéma, de gastronomie.

Help
The farm work is to take care of the goats, rabbits, chickens, dogs of the mare.
This means feeding the goats out at the close, sometimes walking in the forest, looking after the kids or milking the milk and make cheese.
For hens must be fed, open and close the henhouse every day, collecting eggs. It takes care of the chicks by age.
Walk dogs, check the water for all the animals, the mare move or walk around with!
There is also work in the vegetable garden, the greenhouse and orchards. Depending on the season there are different jobs to do for vegetables, legumes, cereals, and many berries (strawberry, blueberry, raspberry, blackberry, taïberry, currant ...)
There are often small construction sites or interviews for closure, local animals (poultry, goat farm) that we are constantly improving.
Bees do not require much work but was held harvest and the remainder of the control, care and checks from time to time.
The summer we always bigger projects for landscaping field, maintain the house, build a small building ...
Do not hesitate to contact us to find out what will happen to the period you want to come, because the work change seasonally. In addition, we installations, so there are lots of trees, plants etc. to plant, much to build etc.
Le travail de la ferme est de s'occuper des chèvres, des lapins, des poules, des chiens de la jument.
Cela veut dire nourrir les chèvres, les sortir au près, parfois les promener en forêt, s'occuper des chevreaux ou traire le lait puis faire le fromage.
Pour les poules il faut les nourrir, ouvrir et fermer le poulailler tous les jours, ramasser les oeufs. Il faut s'occuper des poussins selon leur âge.
Promener les chiens, vérifier l'eau pour tous les animaux, déplacer la jument, ou se promener avec !
Il y a aussi le travail dans le potager, la serre, et les vergers. Selon la saison il y a différents travaux à faire pour les légumes, légumineuses, céréales, et de nombreux baies (fraise, myrtille, framboise, mûre, taïberry, groseille...)
Il y a souvent des petits chantiers de construction ou d'entretiens pour les clôture, les locaux des animaux (poulailler, chévrerie) que nous améliorons sans cesse.
Les abeilles ne demandent pas beaucoup de travail mais en été a lieu la récolte et le reste de l'année des contrôle, soins et vérifications de temps en temps.
L'été nous avons toujours de plus gros chantiers pour paysager le terrain, entretenir la maison, construire un petit bâtiment...
Il ne faut pas hésiter à nous contacter pour savoir ce qui se passera pour la période où vous voulez venir, car les travaux changent selon les saisons. De plus, nous sommes en installations, donc il y a plein d'arbres, plantes etc. à planter, de choses à construire etc.

Accommodation
Nous pouvons accueillir des voyageurs dans une petite chambre d'ami mais avons aussi une grande chambre indépendante mais qui n'est pas chauffée. Nous avons aussi une caravane à disposition sur le terrain.
Il n'y a qu'une salle de bain pour tout le monde.

nous ne sommes pas végétariens, mais nous mangeons notre viande de façon ponctuelle (1 à 2 fois par semaine). Nous achetonsparfois du poisson. Possible de fumer mais dehors.
About what to do in the area :
1 - If you can drive your or our car : you can visit lots of natural landscape and places like lakes, castles, traditional towns, churches. In summer takes place quite lots of festival & concerts, shows in café.
2 - If you can not drive, we do sometimes what I said before, We go twice or more a month to a local associative café where we meat friends of the area and have lovely evening with shows or debates. We do visit friends in their farm or house. We go swimming in lakes in summer or play at river. We love to make party at home with friends, good meal, fireplace inside or outside, playing music, games and laughing...
3 - Without driving you can ride bicycle or walk around the place in woods, fields and roads to discover a lake,river (you can do fishing) a church in next town, landscape. In autumn we go in woods looking for mushroom ! Anyway you can never finish to discover countryside if you know how to look at it, and we can teach you how to ! ;)
