    Description

We live on a 960ha sheep and beef farm, running 5500 sheep and around 1000 cattle. WE are coming into a busy time of year so looking for a keen person to help with extra stuff on the farm, mainly docking.
I have a horse that I hunt and welcome experienced riders who can take him for a ride over the farm. Sam and I have three boys aged 14, 12 and 8. Mad keen on motorbikes! Water skiing another pastime we all enjoy. Our house is a large homestead and we have a tennis court - always keen for more tennis players. We also have a swimming pool which is a must in our warm climate. I travel a bit so it is great to have someone around who can help in the garden and with the odd dinner when I am not here. We try and mix it up with different things to do, can be painting, firewood or helping with projects. Some who have had farm experience help Sam with tractor driving etc. We try and keep things interesting and it has been great having backpackers who have come back to stay a few times. We have a philosophy of work hard play hard! We are 35 minutes drive from the beach and the ruahine mountains are the same distance away, a great place for tramping.

Currently farming with sheep work. otherwise some gardening, helping with kids, sometimes in the morning if I am away overnight and dinner. Not very often but does happen. Can be doing firewood or painting buildings. Keeping a horse fit - but experienced riders only for that. Depending on experience there are opportunities to drive tractors etc on the farm.

The beach is 35 minutes away, good surfing and surf casting for fish. Those keen on tramping the ruahine ranges is a wonderful place to go and there are good doc huts to stay in. In Summer we enjoy water skiing on a nearby lake.
