Description
Come and visit the oldest rainforest in the world, I can be your guide.
Accommodation, camper vans, tents, welcome, or I have an open under cover room out back with a net over the queen size bed and an open fire place.
I cook basic meals! But if you have a food preference I can provide the food and you can help me cook it.
I don’t share my WiFi, I’ve been hacked too many times, but you can get Telstra here or there is mobile service not far away.
We live with stand alone power systems in the Daintree so NO hairdryers, or anything that draws a lot of electricity.
For some days of good work I can provide a boating adventure on the Daintree river, croc spotting or fishing and crabbing, or just chilling out on the water, but you must do some work for this to happen, there are also nature walks provided by national parks.
If you have a van or car I can get you over the Daintree river ferry for free.
The work may consist of anything from watering the garden, putting out weeds, dragging branches, maybe a little house cleaning or assisting me doing projects and property maintenance.
I will NOT place anyone into a potentially dangerous position or situation!!!
It is advisable to have at least one week or more in visiting the Daintree there is a lot to explore here!
I have some PP work clothing for some who don’t have much work clothing.
I hope this profile is enough information to answer most of your questions.
How to get here, if you don’t have a car or vehicle !Contact ( Trans North ). Cairns to Cooktown,, Monday, Wednesday, Friday.
I forgot to mention I have a beautiful (Australian Blue heeler) that is friendly with everyone.
If you call or text my mobile phone, please state who you are or I may not respond.
Thank you.

She stayed with Jan and I for one week, in that time she weeded the garden, mulched, helped me painting a roof, and was a great help in the home, kitchen ect.
She was a clean living person and was very interested in the natural environment of the Daintree Nat park.
We took Kat on tours of the rainforest, boating on the… read more

Are a lovely young vegan couple who stayed with us in there own campervan for a week.
They undertook all tasks we requested of them happily and worked well as a team.
They also took on board that we live with off grid power and a limited rainwater supply without any difficulty.
Their vegan diet was a bit of a challenge for us… read more

The work you did for us on both properties was excellent.
Vanessa and Arne were hard working, easy to get along with honest, reliable, and a pleasure to have stay with us.
We wish you all the best on your worldly travels and most welcome anytime in the future. Jan & Gary.
Jan and Gary are two of the most authentic, honest and kind people we met during our time in Australia, who we’d love to see again some day!
