We, Richard & Eileen, took the big bold decision to relocate to the beautiful Dordogne region of France where we acquired a stunning farmhouse Gite complex, set in over 18 acres, capable of accommodating up to 30 people. The complex is in excellent order but as is the way with these projects, there is always work to be done!!
We moved in on the 19th November 2015 and hit the ground running. Our first workawayers arrived a few days later and John T and Elwood, a couple of guys from Oregon, were magnificent. When 5 vans arrived with our furniture their extra pair of hands made light work!! Once the furniture was stored safely away, the guys got stuck in to our bamboo forest and turned some trees in our parkland to firewood!! Since those early days we have had gardeners, tree fellers, painters and decorators all lending a shoulder to the wheel.
In the past two years we have been busy busy busy! This winter sees us tackle our 3 bed Gite which will undergo a complete re-decoration plus new bathrooms. So if you are not afraid of a bit of graft and have skills to bring to the table then please get in touch.

Eileen and I are in our mid-fifties and now our children have flown the nest, it is our time to create our own special french paradise. We are easy going and like the simple things in life - but when the day is done, boy can we party!
I have worked at the corporate coalface for many years so I understand what "good" looks like and know when it has been achieved. So if this appeals, please come and bring your own experiences and skills to our party where a warm and friendly welcome awaits in, to be honest, a pretty nice place.
