Hello! Welcome to our farm in Tlayacapan, a magical little corner in Morelos, close to the mountains. Here we live and work in harmony with nature, practising permaculture and sustainable construction. We care for and maintain fruit and timber trees that bring the place to life. We also raise rabbits and laying hens that provide us with fresh, organic food.
We are looking for volunteers eager to learn about sustainable agriculture, participate in green building projects and enjoy the calm of rural life.
Tasks include tending the crops, feeding the animals and helping us to keep this space vibrant and productive. In return, we offer a comfortable place to stay, tasty food straight from the farm, and the opportunity to connect with nature just steps away from the beautiful mountains of Morelos.
If you are passionate about sustainability and don't mind getting your hands dirty, this is the place for you! Come, share this experience and be part of our project.
¡Hola! Bienvenidos a nuestra granja en Tlayacapan, un rinconcito mágico en Morelos, pegadito a las montañas. Aquí vivimos y trabajamos en sintonía con la naturaleza, practicando permacultura y construcción sostenible. Nos dedicamos a cuidar y mantener árboles frutales y maderables que llenan de vida el lugar. También criamos conejos y gallinas ponedoras que nos dan alimentos frescos y orgánicos.
Buscamos voluntarios con ganas de aprender sobre agricultura sostenible, participar en proyectos de construcción ecológica y disfrutar de la calma de la vida rural. Las tareas incluyen cuidar los cultivos, alimentar a los animales y ayudarnos a que este espacio siga siendo vibrante y productivo. A cambio, ofrecemos un lugar cómodo para quedarte, comida rica y directa de la granja, y la oportunidad de conectar con la naturaleza a solo unos pasos de las hermosas montañas de Morelos.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Volunteers have the opportunity to experience rural Mexican life. This village, recognised as a "Pueblo Mágico", is full of history, with its cobbled streets, an ancient monastery and vibrant traditions such as the Day of the Dead and local festivals. We are close to two impressive volcanoes, Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl, which not only make for a dreamlike landscape, but also invite you to hike or simply contemplate them as you go about your day. Here, you'll experience real Mexican culture: home-cooked meals with farm-fresh ingredients, permaculture stories inspired by indigenous practices and the warmth of a close-knit community. We're a stone's throw from the mountains and a short drive from lively markets and artisan workshops, so you have the best of nature and tradition at your fingertips. In return, we would love to hear about your culture, your traditions or your ideas; maybe cook a dish from your country or share something you have learned about sustainability in other places. This is an exchange, a way to connect our way of living with yours.
Los voluntarios tienen la oportunidad de conocer la vida rural mexicana. Este pueblo, reconocido como "Pueblo Mágico", está lleno de historia, con sus callecitas empedradas, un monasterio antiguo y tradiciones vibrantes como el Día de Muertos o las fiestas locales. Estamos cerquita de dos volcanes impresionantes, el Popocatépetl y el Iztaccíhuatl, que no solo hacen que el paisaje sea de ensueño, sino que también invitan a caminatas o simplemente a contemplarlos mientras haces tu día. Aquí, vas a vivir la cultura mexicana de verdad: comidas caseras con ingredientes fresquitos de la granja, historias sobre permacultura inspiradas en prácticas indígenas y el cariño de una comunidad bien unida.
Estamos a un paso de las montañas y a un viajecito corto de mercados llenos de vida y talleres de artesanos, así que tienes lo mejor de la naturaleza y la tradición al alcance. A cambio, nos encantaría que nos cuentes sobre tu cultura, tus tradiciones o tus ideas; tal vez cocinar un platillo de tu país o compartir algo que hayas aprendido sobre sostenibilidad en otros lugares. Esto es un intercambio, una forma de conectar nuestra forma de vivir con la tuya.

¡Vivir y trabajar en nuestra granja en Tlayacapan no es solo cuidar la tierra, es también una oportunidad para sumergirte en un intercambio lingüístico súper enriquecedor! En la granja tenemos gente que habla español, inglés, francés y alemán con fluidez, y nos encantaría compartir eso contigo. Si quieres practicar tu español en un entorno bien mexicano, refrescar tu inglés, meterte de lleno en el francés o incluso aventurarte con el alemán, podemos charlar mientras comemos, trabajamos en la granja o simplemente disfrutamos de la vista del Popocatépetl y el Iztaccíhuatl. A cambio, me emocionaría aprender frases o jerga de tu idioma nativo, haciendo de esto un intercambio divertido de palabras y culturas.

Hey! If you're up for volunteering at our permaculture farm in Tlayacapan, Morelos, you'll have your own cosy room with private bathroom and reliable Wi-Fi, perfect for relaxing after a day's work. If you prefer something more connected to nature, you can also camp on our land and use our compost toilet, designed with sustainability in mind. Whether you choose to room or camp, you'll enjoy a super tranquil rural setting, farm fresh food and a real experience of sustainable living.

In your free time, you can explore the charming little villages around us, visit some of the nearby pyramids or enjoy the rich restaurants in the area. Getting around is super easy: trucks pass right in front of the house and take you wherever you want to go.
