    Description

    Hello everyone!
I'm Chiara, 30 years old, a long-time WWOOF volunteer, and I live with my husband Bassam, who is from Yemen. We recently moved into a large house in the countryside, with nearly 3 hectares of land and lots of tasks to do in the garden and some help needed in the house.

We live with our dog, Sandiid, two cats, and 20 chickens. Right now, we're planting new fruit trees, creating summer vegetable gardens, and fixing up the front yard.

We're looking for someone to help us with the olive harvest in October!
My father owns a large piece of land with nearly 300 olive trees, and every year I put together a small team of volunteers for the harvest. I’ll be there from time to time, and so will my husband. After the harvest on my father's land, we’ll also be picking olives on our own property, and maybe doing a few other small tasks in the garden and some maintenance in the vegetable patch.

Accommodation is in a single or double room (for couples) at my parents' house, with a shared bathroom for the volunteers. We can host up to 3 people. The kitchen is available for anyone who enjoys cooking – my mother works full-time as a teacher and doesn’t have much time to cook.

We eat everything, but we try to focus on healthy, organic, whole foods.
My parents speak Italian and a little English, while I speak English well. Bassam speaks Arabic and a bit of Norwegian too.

The nearest village is a 10-minute walk away – it’s lovely, with supermarkets, gelato shops, and lots of people. All around us is the beautiful Sabina countryside, perfect for hiking on your days off.

My parents also often go canoeing on the Tiber River and would be happy to teach you.
In October, we also always dedicate a weekend to chestnut picking by the nearby lakes – absolutely stunning places!

We look forward to welcoming you!

    Ciao a tutti!
