  Hello everyone,
  
  My name is Lorenzo and live with my family in Chilean Patagonia, specifically in Mallín Grande, 80 kilometers from Chile Chico in the Aysen region, Mallín Grande is a nearby rural area located in the Lake General Carrera and close to different attractions like mountains, rivers, national reserves, etc.
  
  We are dedicated to tourism (only summer), farming, agriculture and transport, we have different types of activities so we are always busy. We are a very hardworking, friendly and gentle family, we like meeting people from different cultures and obviously to present our own.
  
  We need one volunteer to help us take care of the house, the field and the animals (dogs, cats, cows, sheep, cows and horses). They must speak Spanish (it is not necessary to be perfect but can communicate), besides being autonomous, motivated and willing to work as well when we are not at home, We are looking for volunteers between 22 and 30 years with good vibes and lots of energy :)
  
  We need you to have availability to stay at least 1 month (if you are looking to be one or two weeks unfortunately we will not be able to receive you as we believe there is very little time to learn the different tasks and really know the culture of the place).
  
  The work we do in the field is linked to livestock, agriculture and tourism (only summer). The activities we do are: foraging (feeding the animals) and caring for them, fixing fences, removing weeds from the garden and orchard, sowing, removing mosquitoes from the roads, fixing roads, making firewood, cleaning the environment, helping with the work of the house (cook, wash slab and keep clean), help in tourism, etc., etc.
  
  It is important that they have knowledge that there will be days of hard work (more than 5 hours) but also we will have relaxed days, where the volunteers will be able to know the place, share a beer and visit the tourist attractions of the area.
  
  Also, it is worth mentioning that here we do not have much fixed schedules and plans change quickly, so we are looking for volunteers who are flexible and can adapt to this lifestyle.

  Mi nombre es Lorenzo y junto a mi familia vivimos en la Patagonia Chilena, específicamente en Mallín Grande distante a 80 kilómetros de Chile Chico en la Región de Aysén, Mallín Grande es un sector rural ubicado en la cuenca del Lago General Carrera y cercano a diferentes atractivos turísticos como montañas, ríos, reservas nacionales, etc.
  
  Nosotros nos dedicamos al turismo (solo verano), ganadería y agricultura, tenemos diferentes tipos de actividades por lo que siempre estamos en movimiento. Somos una familia bastante trabajadora, acogedora y gentil, nos gusta conocer gente de diferentes culturas y también obviamente dar a conocer la nuestra.
  
  Necesitamos una persona que nos ayuden a cuidar la casa, el campo y los animales (perros, gatos, vacas, ovejas, vacas y caballos). Deberán hablar español (no es necesario que sea perfecto pero que si podamos comunicarnos), además de ser autónomo, motivado y dispuesto a trabajar solo cuando no estamos en casa, Buscamos voluntarios entre 22 y 30 años con buena onda y mucha energía :)
  
  Necesitamos que tengan disponibilidad para quedarse como mínimo 1 mes (si buscas estar una o dos semanas lamentablemente no podremos recibirte ya que creemos que es muy poco tiempo para aprender las diversas tareas).
  
  El trabajo que realizamos en el campo esta vinculado a la ganadería, agricultura y turismo (solo verano). Las actividades que realizamos son: forrajear (alimentar los animales) y cuidarlos, arreglar cercos, sacar las malezas del jardín y la huerta, sembrar, sacar mosquetas de los caminos, arreglar caminos, hacer leña, limpiar el entorno, ayuda con las labores de la casa (cocinar, lavar losa y mantener limpio), ayuda en turismo, etc, etc.
  
  Es importante que tengan conocimiento que habrán días de mucho trabajo (más de 5 horas) pero, también tendremos días mas relajados, donde los voluntarios podrán conocer el lugar, compartir una cerveza y visitar los atractivos turísticos de la zona. Además, queda mencionar que aquí no tenemos mucho horarios fijos y planes cambian rápido, entonces buscamos voluntarios que sean flexibles y pueden adaptarse a este estilo de vida.

  Help

  We have different positions to offer for our volunteers:
  
  1. All year round we are looking for volunteers who can help us with the agriculture and in the countryside. This includes helping with the animals, working with firewood, eliminating certain plants, clean paths and helping with the construction of cabins and or fences, etc. These tasks are quite physical and for all people who are real outdoor fans with lots of energy.
  Especially in summer we need help with the hay!!! We apreciate every hand we get there.
  
  2. For the summer and touristic season we are looking for openminded, responsable and realible volunteers, who must speak spanish and english at least at an intermediate level and any other spoken langunage is welcome! The volunteers task can be in the recepcion, helping with the administration and the cabins, attend tourists, help with the horseback rides, etc. We prefer longterm stays, the ideal would be 2 months (jan and feb).
  
  Although we have these two different tasks here we don't seperate that exactly. If there is more work to do with the countryside we do that or the other way round. In general we work all together and help each other :).
  
  The work can be really intense and long on a few days. So we are looking for volunteers, who really want to be part of our family and life style. If you are more interested in just working the required hours and then do something else on your own this might not be the place for you. As well plans can change really quick, so you need to handle that there are not a lot of longterm plans nor shedules and even if so, it does not mean that they cannot change last minute.
  
  Los voluntarios nos pueden apoyar en diferentes áreas del campo ya sea en cuanto a ganadería, agricultura, cortar leña, etc. También, nos pueden ayudar en cuanto al desarrollo de nuestro negocio de turismo en las diferentes actividades que realizamos, hacer limpieza, preparar las cabañas para los turistas y el entorno, área administrativa, guiados o apoyo de excursiones.
  
  Los horarios de trabajo varían según la actividad, hay días que pueden ser extensos y otros relajados.

  Accommodation

  Accommodation can be in tents or in one of our cabins. In summer (jan &feb) it is more likely to be tent, especially short term stays.

  Please note that the food contains a lot of meat here and we cannot consider to special diets as vegetarians, vegans or other.
  Furthermore we are very remote! There are no big supermarkets or urban activities closer than 2 hours by car. But we are surrounded by stunning nature which offers plenty of outdoors activites such as hiking, horsebackriding, swimming, fishing, climbing, etc. So if you like nature and tranquility, this is a place to be!
