Hello! 🤗

We are Léa and Lucas, and we begin the Workaway adventure!

✈️ Almost two years ago, we decided to leave our respective careers (finance and the pharmaceutical industry) to explore the world. After spending eight months in Asia and one year in Australia, where we worked in several bars, we are now excited to discover Latin America. Throughout these past two years, we have had unforgettable experiences, such as trekking to Everest Base Camp in Nepal and immersing ourselves in local cultures.
Before that, Lucas spent a year in New Zealand, where he worked on kiwi and apple farms, further deepening his love for hands-on work and nature.

👨🏻‍🌾We are motivated by the idea of working and fully immersing ourselves in local life. Our travels have been driven by the desire to learn about new cultures, and we are now looking for an opportunity that will allow us to actively contribute while enriching our experiences through meaningful exchanges.

🌿Having grown up in agricultural environments — Lucas in Camargue domains 🐴 and Léa in vineyards 🍇— we are passionate about nature, animals, food, fishing and sports. We are fluent in English, have basic knowledge of Spanish, and are enthusiastic, hardworking, and generous individuals. We are eager to learn, explore new horizons, and share enriching experiences with others.

🫶🏻Wherever we can spend time, Léa and I would be happy to put our skills to use, discover local customs — especially culinary traditions — and share simple yet meaningful life moments. We also love children, and would be thrilled to contribute to a project while learning new ways of working.

Passion for Animals and Wildlife: Lucas grew up immersed in the life of traditional Camargue farms, surrounded by agriculture and bullfighting culture. He knows how to ride horses and enjoys working with animals. Léa grew up in a viticultural environment and shares a deep love for nature. Together, we love being in contact with nature, observing, and taking care of animals.

Experience in Hiking and High Altitude: We have completed several multi-day treks in the mountains of Switzerland, France, and Nepal, including one to Everest Base Camp. These experiences have taught us how to handle the physical and environmental challenges of high altitudes.

Bar Work: We have experience working in several bars in Australia, with strong skills in customer service and order management.

Manual skill / Tractor Driving: We have experience in agricultural work, including operating tractors in kiwi orchards, apple orchards, and vineyards.

Digital content Creation: Léa can also offer her skills in website creation and social media communication. In addition, she launched a podcast channel, 36°SUD, focused on travel and the memorable experiences that have shaped our journey, a project she holds dear as a hobby. However, she would like to clarify that she is neither an influencer nor dependent on social media or other digital platforms.
