    Description

    Hello,
I'm Marie (30) and I live with my boyfriend Jakob (32) and our three children (7-month-old twins and a 3-year-old) in Sommersdorf in beautiful Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in northern Germany.
The house we live in has not yet been fully developed and is intended to become a cooperative housing project. But until now we still live there alone, sometimes with a few goats. There is a lot of space around it, which we use in a variety of ways. We have a self-sufficient vegetable garden and an meadow with apple and other fruit trees. We make our own juice, pickles, tomato sauce and a lot more.
Our village is located on Kummerower See, where you can go for a walk or swim. There are also many events and beautiful places to discover in the area in summer. The nearest supermarket is 12 km away in the city. A car is available or you can go by bike as well.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

We love growing, harvesting and processing vegetables together with others. We can exchange knowledge, experiences and recipes and experiment and develop ideas together. As a carpenter, Jakob enjoys sharing his knowledge about construction and sustainable raw materials and also enjoys learning new methods. Marie likes language, likes to help with learning German and would like to brush up on her English or Spanish. We want our children to get to know many different people and different cultures.
