    Description

If you are handy with tools, carpentry, wall building, etc. we welcome you to help hosts Alison & Mark to restore and maintain the infrastructure of a six acre of previously certified organic farmland with a stone fruit orchard (Peaches & Plums), culinary herb garden and lavender labyrinth. We have a small flock in summer of pastured meat birds. The farm is located above the beautiful town of Peachland with amazing scenery of Okanagan Lake. Situated above Deep Creek there are lovely up the mountain behind the farm above peachland.
Living on an farm is a way of life and we enjoy sharing the experience with others each season. We are dedicated to cultivating beauty as well as bounty here on the farm. This year we are rebuilding and/or repair walls and walkways and attend to maintenance issues. We plan to offering the farm for wedding ceremonies beginning in 2020. So we will building arbours and trellis as well as building a new chicken coop. If you have experience with tools we invite you to consider visiting our Farm.

Here is a statement by a previous volunteer (from another site) from France about her experience July 2016:
My stay at the Farm became my golden souvenir and a source of joy when I need to come back to this peaceful state of mind. I close my eyes and I picture again the magnificent view, the smell of the food, and the joy from shared moments.
Alison and Mark are amazing people, she is the roots, grounded to earth and her heart is generous like fruits in a tree. He is golden like the sap, and spiritual, connected to the great sun like the leaves themselves. A balanced duo supported by their animals, their land and their dreams. When you arrive, you know that is a special place and you're right if you let yourself release everything and let you go with the flow of this peaceful farm.
In addition, we have relationships with other farms in the area that engage in work exchange to provide our respective workers additional experience(s) and the opportunity to meet other workers from other places.

  • Help

    Help

We work as a team at the Farm sharing skills, knowledge and talents with one another. If you have an idea about how to do something differently and better, you are invited to share it. In addition to tending to the orchards and gardens, this year we will be building gazebos and restoring our 1969 Kustom Koach vintage travel trailer. We will also be repairing and building walls and walkways
Our Farm has benefitted from accepting volunteers since 2008. We are honoured to have many wonderful reviews about stays on the farm. Not a week goes by when we do not recall the volunteers who helped us in years past to achieve the beauty and bounty of the farm.
