    Description

We are revamping our garden to grow more of our own food and are looking for a single or couple to help out 3 hours a day 5 days a week.

We live in an amazing location a 10 minute walk to the ocean and the same distance to downtown Victoria on a quiet street with a view of the Olympic Mountains and ocean. You can attend free music and events at government house - 5 minutes away and browse the Saturday market just down the street for beautiful flowers, vegetables and local crafts.

We are a recently retired couple who love to travel - most recently we spent 5 weeks in Japan.we also have travelled to Vietnam, Thailand, many countries in Europe and Cuba. We also love cycling (year round) and camping (summer).

Victoria is a ferry ride away from Vancouver and Seattle if you are looking for city life and a 4 hour bus ride from Tofino for surfing and amazing beaches. Lots of camping, hiking close by and a great cycling network with protected bike lanes (we have spare bikes). Victoria hosts many free festivals throughout the years and has a pretty good music scene.

We can also teach you the key points of natural gardening including how to prune trees, organically manage insects that try to eat our vegetables and the different types of plants and flowers that can grow in Victoria.
