Welcome to our little farm.
Oreo (my little dog in the picture) and I made our way to a small village in southern part of India from US in early 2018.
Something about Oreo: He is about 2 years old travel junkie Japanese Chin who was born in US. He is an adorable little fellow who likes to live in his own little world. He absolutely loves to go on rides and travel. He has traveled better part of US and is now in process of exploring India.
Something about me: Born and brought up in Nepal who has spent last 10 years in US studying and working as a corporate slave before breaking the chain and finding his peace in a small village of India.
We started the project after we moved back to India. We are in process of building a farm stay with a food forest which will promote sustainable living while using modern technology we have at our disposal.
We have about 5 acres of land in which we cultivate various seasonal crops. We aim to build an international community where people can come together and exchange their culture and ideas with the local community. We strive to bring development in rural communities by optimizing rural farming and connecting the urban population directly to their local farmers. We are located in Berigai, Tamilnadu,India, which is about 50 kms from Bangalore.
Our farm is more set up for ones soul searching among nature, while grounding/earthing yourself with mother earth. We run on no strict schedules and have very little rules to follow at our farm. We want you to be in charge of your day and try to live in the moment. In the process of doing so, we ask you to put 4 to 5 hours of labor every day, moreover spend that time connecting yourself with nature and earth itself and do some soul searching while working with nature. We want to bring you closure to the five elements of our very existence.
Our Vision: After the advent of technology, we drifted apart from nature, losing the purity mankind once valued. But now, at our farm, we not only want to reconnect with our roots, but also build a sustainable relationship with our environment. We seek to create a unique experience for urban population that will bring about the change in perspective in their lifes about stressfree healthy living while getting to experience a farmer's life and living in a community of people whom they have no similarities with.
Help Needed: We are building a beautiful farm house and wooden capsules to stay and cook and have a good time together as a community. We are seeking volenteers who can offer substantial amount of time for this project to help us create a space where everyone can live in harmony with nature.

Inaddition, we also enjoy hosting visitors for the opportunities to interact, make friends, learn, exchange ideas, views, culture, share the food, music ,art and farm things we’re passionate about, to inspire an appreciation in visitors for homegrown food and homegrown farming, to contribute to people interested in doing the same kind of things we’re doing, and to learn new and various things from our visitors. You'll have the opportunity to take part in all aspects of our farm life, limited mainly just by the length of your stay. We don’t hold any farming secrets -- we're not money-focused enough to have to worry about competition and we love to discuss your how-to, why-not, what-if… questions. We'll share all our meals together, and you can work much of the time alongside us, too, so there’s lots of time to discuss farming things and other curious questions about life. For our part, we also especially appreciate international exchanges for a chance to learn about different parts of the world and the way different peoples view the world.

Our farm is located in the border of three states in a small village near Berigai town in Tamilnadu, and 40km away from Bangalore. There are many ancient temples nearby the village. A perennial water spring at Dona Muneeswara Swamy temple attracts lakhs of people annually and a 1000 years old Eshwara(Shivan) temple constructed by Cholas and many old ruins of temples can be tracked nearby the village. Farms in this village mainly produce vegetables, flowers and millets. We have a calm atmosphere and opportunity for fishing, bird watching, you can laze on a hammock under coconut trees, jump into our rustic wells, go for morning walk, enjoy the starlit sky with a camp fire, barbeque your food, strum your guitar and have the birds wake you up in the morning. We are located just 3 km behind the Shoolagiri reserve forest where you can go for nature treks, spot solth bears, elephants, porcupines, star tortoise, spotted deers, hairs, snakes and more than 80 spices of birds. The local transport is easily available to visit near by forts, dams and hills.
