    Description

Hello 👋 Welcome to my country India 🇮🇳

I'm Saumya, an author, spoken word poet and the founder of a non-profit organization for artists. We are established with the belief that creativity helps us access higher dimensions and serves the greater good of the community.

Together with my sister, we recently started the one and only Creative Studio in Delhi, where underground artists are free to experiment, create, collaborate and share.

Located centrally, our studio in New Delhi is a hub for production of new artwork, collaborations, workshops and events led by writers, poets, musicians, actors, theartre practitioners, dancers, graphic designers, photographers and filmmakers. We also work closely with schools, cultural centres and embassies.

When I started the project, I was deeply inspired by:Rabindranath Tagore's Santiniketan- a township dedicated to learning of the arts in India and Richard Branson- founder of Virgin Records who painstakingly turned a dilapidated 15 bedroom house into a recording studio which launched some of the greats such as Mike Oldfield, Phil Collins, Spice Girls and The Verve.

Early on in my childhood, I realized that words were my catnip. Drawn to literature and the creative arts, I've felt that the fulfilment of the human purpose comes through reflection, realization and sharing our true selves with others. Creativity brings the unseen to the seen and light to dark. I was the youngest person from India to win the Gulen Institute Youth Platform Award, wherein I was invited to the Washington D.C, United States of America to deliver a presentation and interact with congressmen.

Why Delhi? Delhi is rich in history and always been an epicentre of art since thousands of years. The streets are filled with colors, smells and sounds. The usual hustle-bustle and chaos, but if you look closely, you will see the harmony and order in everything.

We'd love to see how you can contribute to this growing project.
