    Description

We are Jonjo and Lou a couple in our 30s who with our 2 year old son Finn and super friendly dog Teddy have recently moved to Tauranga after several years working on the South Island.

We are a British/Irish/ Scottish mix of a family who are now living in Papamoa next to a park and a nature reserve and fairly close to the beach.
We are both hardworking professionals Jonjo is a district manager in the solar industry after years working as an electrician and Lou works in theatre at a local private hospital.
We are now very happy to be New Zealand residents, and we love the Tauranga area with all of its outdoor beach and ocean activities, we like our walks in nature and usually visit and explore other areas at the weekends, we are only 15 minutes from Mount Maunganui, 5 minutes from the beach and 10 minutes from Papamoa hills.
We are a short walk from Papamoa Plaza with its many shops, restaurants and bars.
A fantastic area for workawayers to spend some time.

We are completely new to hosting but have been inspired to do so by our parents who are workaway ambassadors and have been volunteering for 8 years.
We are a very sociable couple with a wide circle of friends we like to eat nice wholesome tasty food, we both love to cook and if our guests are around at the weekends we would love you to join us for dinner, maybe you would even cook your favourite meal for us.
We sometimes enjoy a beer or wine in the evenings and weekends after our son is in bed, we also enjoy eating out at the weekends usually after a beach or forest walk.
We are both fairly well travelled and would love to hear of your travelling adventures and hear about your culture .
This really is a jump into the unknown for us,and we hope to meet some interesting world travellers .

  • Help

    Help

We are looking for help mainly in our home, we are very busy with our son Finn in the evenings and are up early in the morning for work as well as getting Finn ready for nursery this leaves little time for us to clean and tidy up the kitchen and lounge, toys and games etc.
We would love a person or two to pack away toys in the morning, empty the dishwasher and vacuum and a general tidy up of our house so that our home is neat and tidy on our return in the evenings.
We estimate it would only take an hour or so for these daily qtasks so we would appreciate if some simple other tasks can be taken during the week, maybe clean windows, mow the small lawn when needed, some small amount of weeding maybe clean one of our vehicles or even help with laundry
We would not be around during the weekdays but the help needed would be just to clean and tidy and general household help
