  Description

  Hi, we are Carlos and Claudia, owners and wine producers since 23 years in the Maule region. We are passionate about our work and we love to transmit our knowledge and share good moments with other people !
  
  Our vineyard is called "Gran Hidalgo" and measures 12 hectares in which we produce a natural and high-quality wine, with a low scale production. In the Maule region, we are pioneers in wine tourism. We live here with our family (our children and Carlos fathers) and they all contribute in the process of making our wine, it is a nice family adventure! We always try to do it in harmony with the environment, it is very important to us. For example we don't use any chemicals in our vineyard , we reuse our wine barrels...
  
  We live on a 33 hectares plot where you can find: Cabernet Sauvignon vines, a forest of fruit and native trees, a cellar made of adobe, a barbecue area with a swimming pool to share together and a lot of animals (ducks, geese, turkeys, chickens, dogs and cats).
  
  We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help us continue our many projects. We don't speak english so please write in spanish :)

  Hola, somos Carlos y Claudia, dueños y productores de vino desde 23 años en la region del Maule. Somos apasionados por nuestro trabajo y nos encanta transmitir nuestros conocimientos sobre esos temas y compartir buenos momentos con otras personas.
  
  Nuestra viña se llama "Gran Hidalgo" y mide 12 hectáreas en los que producimos un vino natural, de muy buena calidad y de baja escala. Somos pioneros en la zona en enoturismo. Vivimos aquí con nuestra familia (nuestros hijos y nuestros padres) y todos contribuyen en el proceso de elaboración de nuestro vino, es una linda aventura de familia! Siempre tratamos de hacerlo en harmonía con el medio ambiente, es algo muy importante para nosotros. por ejemplo, no ocupamos químicos, reutilizamos nuestros barriles de vino...
  
  Vivimos en una parcela de 33 hectáreas en los que puedes encontrar : las viñas de Cabernet Sauvignon, un bosque de árboles frutales y nativos, una bodega hecha de adobe, un quincho con una parilla y una piscina para compartir juntos y muchos animalitos (patos, gansos, pavos, gallinas, perros y gatos).
  
  Buscamos la ayuda de voluntarios entusiastas para seguir realizando nuestros numerosos proyectos. No hablamos ingles entonces escribimos en español por favor :)

  Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

  We can teach you Spanish and we will be very happy to share our knowledge about wine and tourism. We did a lot of the constructions we have here so we can share about traditional way of construction (oak, adobe, tiles etc). We are both Chilean and Claudia was born in the area so we can share about the culture of Chile and especially of our Maule Region which has a particular environment and a very important wine culture.

  Podemos enseñarle español y seremos muy feliz de compartir nuestro conocimiento sobre el vino y el turismo. Hicimos un gran parte de las construcciones que tenemos aquí entonces podemos compartir sobre forma tradicionales de construcción (roble, adobe, tejas etc). Estamos los 2 chilenos y Claudia nacio en la zona entonces podemos compartir sobre la cultura de Chile y especialmente de nuestra Region del Maule que tiene un medio ambiente particular y una cultura del vino muy importante.

  Help

  What we need most is help in the maintenance of the vineyards: harvesting, irrigating, weeding, pruning, tying up, among others. It is not necessary to have experience in other vineyards, we are here to teach you :)
  
  And help in other areas is also needed:
  - Animal care
  - Garden care : cleaning the garden, planting, taking care of the vegetable garden and fruit trees, landscaping, etc...
  - Swimming pool care
  - Construction
  - Help for the preparation of the wine sales : bottling, packaging, labeling the bottles, preparing the shipments...
  
  We live in the countryside, so in our place there are always things to do, to clean and to organize !
  The type of help can be different depending on the season. Obviously, this is not a complete list and we are willing to receive your knowledge on different subjects.

  Lo que mas necesitamos, es ayuda en la mantención de las viñas : cosechar, regar, desmalezar, podar, amarrar, entre otros. No es necesario haber tenido experiencia en otras viñas, nosotros estamos aquí para enseñarte :)
  
  Y también se necesita ayuda en otros ámbitos :
  - Cuidado de los animales
  - Cuidado del jardín : limpieza del jardín, plantar, cuidar la huerta y los arboles frutales, paisajismo, etc...
  - Cuidado de la piscina
  - Construcción
  - Ayuda para la preparación de la ventas de vino : envasado, packaging, etiquetar las botellas, preparar los envíos...
  
  Vivimos al campo, así que en nuestro lugar siempre hay cosas que hacer, que limpiar y organizar !
  El tipo de ayuda puede ser diferente según la estación del año. Obviamente, eso no es una lista completa y tenemos buena disposición a recibir su conocimiento sobre diferentes temas.

  Accommodation

  A small but sufficient personal room to store your things in the front private bathrooms and shower with hot water. We offer 3 meals a day (breakfast, lunch and eleven) which includes basic and healthy food. If you want specific foods (alcohol, sweets, etc.) you can buy them in the supermarket in the center.
  Our camp is large so we can receive you with your motor home, van or tent in summer. We have a toilet area (showers/bathrooms) separate from the house.
  
  There is internet access but we do not have wifi here. We can share our connection from our cell phone if you like. Finally, you can buy a plan or bag with your cell phone.

  Una habitación personal pequeña pero suficiente para guardar sus cosas al frente baños y ducha con agua caliente privados. Ofrecemos 3 comida al día (desayuno, almuerzo y once) que incluye alimentos básicos y saludables. Si quieren alimentos específicos (alcohol, dulces, etc.) se lo puede compra en supermercado en el centro.
  Nuestro campo es grande así que podemos recibirlos con su casa rodante, camioneta habilitada o carpa en verano. Tenemos una zona de servicios (duchas/baños) aparte de la casa.
  
  Hay acceso a internet pero no tenemos wifi aquí. Podemos compartir nuestra conexión desde nuestro celular si quiere. Por ultimo, puede comprar un plan o bolsa con su celular.

  What else ...

  We have a big swimming pool that we use in summer. Here you can play tennis, enjoy the pool, stay with the animals, talk with us. We are 13km away from the city of Cauquenes where you can go to the fair to buy vegetables, fruits and dairy, the artisan market with crafts from Chile. In winter there is a lot of rain so you should have suitable clothing (thick clothes and waterproof shoes)

  Tenemos una gran piscina que ocupamos durante verano. Aquí se puede jugar tenis, disfrutar de la piscina, quedar con los animales, conversar. Estamos a 13km de la ciudad de Cauquenes a donde se puede ir a la feria para comprar verduras frutas y lácteos, el mercado artesanal con artesanía de Chile. En invierno hay mucha lluvia así que debe tener ropa adecuada (ropas gruesa y zapatos impermeables)
