Description
Hello! We are a married couple living on Vancouver Island, BC: Dave is 60 (omnivore) and moderately disabled, and Karen (vegetarian) is 58 and self employed/works from home part time. We live on a 2 acre hobby farm close to all amenities.

You will experience the breathtaking beauty of Vancouver Island, as well as being close to the MT Washington ski hill. There is endless exploring: beaches, hiking trails, forests, golf courses, skiing, snowboarding, rivers & the ocean, wildlife, swimming, rec centres. Plus pubs, restaurants, theaters, festivals, cultural events, churches, farmers' markets, shopping,and so much more, all close by! We would love to share & learn gardening, animal care, meal prep & cooking ideas, open to your creativity!
Help
We have a 2 acre hobby farm with 2 pet pigs, 2 alpacas, 2 rabbits, a small flock of chickens, 3 dogs and 3 cats. We have meat birds (chickens) in the summer. We have a small garden & greenhouse with untapped potential, as well as other projects around the property. We are looking for help with general animal care including dog walking, gardening, various DIY projects, fence repair/replacement, yard maintenance, organizing, decluttering, and household tasks such as general tidying/light housekeeping, meal cooking (mostly vegetarian), some shopping and running errands.

Accommodation
We can accommodate an RV (you supply) with water and electrical hook up, with use of our kitchen,laundry, washroom & wifi if desired.
We also have an upstairs bedroom in our home with single bunk beds, and 1 single bed to offer, with access to a shared bathroom with tub & shower. Wifi in the home also included.
We can share food or keep food separate, however would love for you to come with cooking skills, in particular vegetarian or vegan, simple or fancy! If you cook, we will definitely buy the food!!
If you have pets, we are willing to discuss with you to see if they are a good fit here.
Your own transportation is definitely a benefit, but also open for discussion!

We desire respectful, kind, happy, energetic workawayers who are non smokers, occasional drinker ok, (no binging etc), & no major addictions.
Our preference are workawayers ages 25+ to 35 years old, with some solid work experience under their belt. Self motivated, confident & able to complete tasks without supervision is very important.
Must love animals and people, and come with a caring heart. Please no pet allergies, as cats and dogs are in the home.
We need quiet in the home at certain times of the day & low stress.
