For many years we have been one of Ecuador's most fun, friendly backpacker hostels. We have spectacular views from our rooftop terrace/restaurant/bar, making it a great place to volunteer, improve your Spanish, get to know the locals, meet loads of other fun travellers or just chill-out watching the sunset over the historic Old Town.

Volunteers at our hostel have plenty of opportunity to get to know, and hang out with, our local staff. Our staff also love this interaction, and they are often inviting volunteers to their homes, to visit their families, head off to a football game, or their favourite salsa club, etc, etc... the list goes on. Learning Spanish from the locals, and getting to know local Ecuadorians and their culture are perhaps the most common reasons for volunteering with us.
No cooking, cleaning, changing sheets or washing the pots and pans! We are not looking for volunteers to replace our paid Ecuadorian staff, but rather to complement them. Our volunteers work together with our local staff to help out at reception, greeting guests and welcoming them to Quito, showing guests around the hostel and generally making sure that our guests are having a great time. We also welcome help with our extensive art/painting/murals, our plants/gardens and even helping our builder with maintenance and improvement projects.
Volunteers spend a lot of time working with local staff and therefore have a great opportunity to improve their Spanish.

In a shared room with 4 or 5 fellow volunteers.50% discount in our bar/restaurante and discounted Spanish classes, certain discounted tours with the travel agency plus a free night at our adventure lodge in the mountains overlooking Cotopaxi National Park.
Overlooking the historic Old Town, we offer a great base to explore in and around Quito. Our local staff love getting to know volunteers - you can spend time meeting them and their families, maybe head out to a football game together, or even off to the clubs on a friday night.
