Description
I'm in the Lunigiana hills near a town called Montereggio. I've opened a small family-run B&B with a dog boarding facility, as well as a shelter where stray dogs are taken in, cared for, and then found a good home! What I'm looking for is a cultural exchange (providing room and board for myself) as far as the dog shelter part is concerned (a non-profit activity), cleaning the pens, removing waste and disinfecting, washing their bowls and restocking them with clean water, changing their blankets and washing their beds every morning, and then taking care of the dogs by brushing them, washing them, and walking them! We also do crafts and light sewing to make items to bring to our stalls (no sales, donations only) to support the shelter and dog care costs! Outside, a vegetable garden is set up to be tended daily, providing organic food year-round, and of course, there's a chicken coop with fresh eggs every day!
There's so much to do, so we're looking for volunteers with some experience who want to live immersed in nature and interact with the animals all day. Volunteers with a car are recommended, and they're willing to stay for a minimum of four weeks (to avoid spending too much time training new people).
Anyone interested in this wonderful experience is welcome!
Please note that workawayers will not assist with paying guests or with the maintenance of the spaces used by paying guests.
The exchange offers meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) and lodging (a room with bathroom and TV), both at the host's expense. Volunteering is required for 5 hours a day, 5 days a week, with 2 full days off. During these days, workawayers will be free and will not receive daily meals.

Mi trovo sulle colline lunigianesi vicino ad un paese che si chiama Montereggio , ho aperto un piccolo B&b a gestione familiare con annessa pensione per cani , e anche un rifugio dove vengono accolti cani randagi, vengono curati e poi si cerca per loro una buona famiglia di adottanti! Quello che cerco è uno scambio culturale (offrendo vitto e alloggio da parte mia), per quello che riguarda la parte del rifugio per cani (attività no profit) , provvedendo alla pulizia dei box, rimuovendo i liquami e disinfettando, lavando le loro ciotole e ripristinandole con acqua pulita, si cambiano le coperte e si lavano le cucce ogni mattina, e poi ci si occupa dei cagnolini spazzolandoli lavandoli e portandoli a passeggio! Inoltre si fanno lavoretti di artigianato e piccolo cucito per realizzare oggetti da portare ai nostri banchetti (no vendita, solo donazioni) per autosostenere le spese del rifugio e il mantenimento dei cagnolini! All'esterno viene allestito un orto di cui occuparsi ogni giorno che fornisce cibo biologico per tutto l'anno, e poi non poteva mancare il pollaio con uova fresche ogni giorno!
Le cose da fare sono tante e per questo si cercano dei volontari con un minimo di esperienza che vogliano vivere immersi nella natura e a contatto con gli animali tutto il giorno, meglio se automuniti , e disposti a soggiornare per un minimo di 4 settimane (onde evitare di passare troppo tempo a formare nuove persone) ...

Specifico che i workawayer non aiuteranno con gli ospiti paganti o con la manutenzione degli spazi utilizzati dagli ospiti paganti.
Si offrono nello scambio vitto ( colazione, pranzo e cena)e alloggio ( camera con bagno e tv)entrambi in struttura, a carico dell'host. Invece per quello che riguarda il volontariato sono richieste 5h al giorno x 5 giorni alla settimana con 2 giorni interi fi riposo nei quali i workawayer saranno liberi e non godranno dei pasti giornalieri.
