Description
Hi, I’m Michelle. I live with my sweet dog Vida in a cozy house in Richmond, California—just a short walk from the Richmond BART/Amtrak station. That means it’s easy to explore the entire Bay Area and beyond, including San Francisco, Berkeley, Oakland, and Sacramento.
I love meeting travelers and exchanging stories, skills, and cultural perspectives. Hosting Workawayers has brought a lot of joy into my life, and I’ve learned a ton from everyone who’s stayed here.
• We’re relaxed and flexible—no rigid schedules
• I appreciate shared contribution (think: helping prepare meals together or tidying shared spaces like you would with a friend)
• This is about sharing time and culture
• Smoking is allowed outside only

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
As a Bay Area native, I can show you spots tourists never find—secret beaches, local food gems, hidden hikes, and dive bars with live music or pool tables. I’m into playing pool, muay thai, pickleball, road trips, and random creative projects.
In return, I love learning about your language, music, food, and life stories. Past guests have introduced me to their favorite dishes, crafts, and games from their home countries, and inspired me to take up new hobbies.
We hang out as much (or as little) as feels right (I am currrently working full time) . Some guests have become lifelong friends.
Help
Hey there! Just trying to maintain this house. Help with cleaning/taking out trash/washing dishes is greatly appreciated.

Accommodation
I have:
• A cozy couch in the living room
• A small office that can fit a bed or mattress
• A tent in the backyard
The space can comfortably fit 1–2 people, and I usually host for 4–5 days at a time (longer if we’re vibing). Street parking is available, and I welcome guests with their own vehicles or campervans.
What else ...
We live right next to the Richmond BART/AMTRAK station. The BART will take you around the main cities of the Bay Area. The AMTRAK goes up and down California and all across the country (north, south, and middle).

I played pickle ball with her and a friend of her, which I had never done before. I like playing that.
Her dog, Vida, is so friendly.
What I helped her with was not hard, cleaning the floor, washing her car and so on.
I definitely want to stay at her place again!
Many thanks.
Good music, good vibe, good food, fun and good sleep. We felt at home right away.
