Description
We've already had two nice experiences with workawayers, Clare in July 2016 and Natalia in August 2017 and we'd like to host a new one as soon as COVID-19 is over!.
We are looking for someone with teaching skills and experience in Language teaching. We are interested in English and a second language, French or German. We are not interested in workawayers who wish to practice or improve Spanish as we would like to focus the experience only in English, French or German.
We love family life: a family of 6! Me, Oscar (56), work at a research centre in Canet and my wife Montse (younger!) works at a high school. She helps teachers taking care of disabled children at the classroom.
We have got four children: a son and three daughters. Guillem, the eldest, is 26 and he is working and studying. Cristina is 24 and studying and working. She lives woth her boyfriend but they both are often at home. Mar is 20 and she is sutdying Biology at university. She’s been to Oxford, Frankfurt and Luxemburg with the High School. And Ènia, who is the youngest, is 13 years old and she likes dancing, singing and wants to speak languages!
We live in Canet de Mar a beautiful town by the sea of 14.000 habitants. It is about 40 km north of Barcelona and trains to and from Barcelona run every 30 minutes and in less than an hour you will be in downtown Barcelona.
We live in a house and we have a spare room you can stay in. We have a large garden and views over the sea. It is a very peaceful neighbourhood at only 10’ walking to the train and bus station.
We are looking for a very communicative person who also loves children (for Enia) and also someone very sociable to talk to everybody for language practice. We would like a person for two or three of weeks.

We live in a town with an important cultural background, so the person could learn a lot of our culture just living life in our town. On the other hand, if our guest wants, we can take her to Barcelona o Girona and visit the real town, not only the touristic places!

Help
We have had two workawayers Clare in July 2016 and Natalia in August 2017 and as we are very pleased with both of experiences, we would like to host someone else at home as an additional family member.
No more than 4 hours a day during volunteer days in SUMMER.
We are looking for a person:
A) with teaching skills: English and if possible French or German
B) who likes spending time with Ènia while talks English to her and plays games with her (1 hour)
C) for language practice: 1 hour a day practicing English and a second language with Mar and Cristina.
C) Montse wants to learn English, so we also need a person teaching her Basic English.
D) I’d also like to refresh it by practicing it, because I usually deal with scientific and technical papers but I hardly speak in English.
E) Light help in house it will also welcomed, just helping as a family member (keeping clean your own room and bath and helping as a family member).

Lots of young people living in Canet study at universities in Barcelona or Mataró, that is only at 20’ by train. As it takes only one hour to Barcelona and it is quite peaceful, it is a good place to plan for writing thesis or organizing future.
