Hello Workawayers,
Our project:
We are two high school friends, Damien and Sarah, from the Lot in the South-West of France, who started a third-place project in St Projet (46300).
The Place will offer various theoretical and practical tools, in the form of workshops, aimed at increasing the ability of individuals to achieve autonomy in their daily lives. To (re)take the path of food and energy independence, of the knowledge of its natural and social environment. We hope to help people choose to live well and consume better, in the interest of producers and consumers, present and future generations and all living beings.
The association will also offer artistic events, convivial, festive, fun and educational activities, for all ages, to find social ties and open its spirit.
A material library and a bricothèque will be set up in a second time, in order to reuse the objects and materials discarded and give everyone all the tools to experiment and move forward. We would also like to eventually offer upcycled items.
The mission:
Work began in September 2022 to transform two barns into multipurpose halls. We do everything ourselves (framework, masonry, roof covering, interior fittings...) and would need help to finish in time because we are aiming for an inauguration in late spring 2024.
The work in which you can participate: finish a piece of roof, coat the straw walls, lay floor, insulation, placo, various crafts, vegetable garden and gardening... You need to not be afraid of physical and/or outdoor work!
The location:
The site hosts three homes (both ours and that of a potter), there are two children, cats, a dog, horses. The place is rather quiet but it is easy to find activities not far away (cinema, shows, balls, places to visit...).

Notre projet :
Nous sommes deux amis de lycée, Damien et Sarah, originaires du Lot dans le Sud-Ouest de la France, qui avons débuté un projet de tiers-lieu au mas de, à St Projet (46300).
Le tiers-lieu offrira divers outils théoriques et pratiques, sous forme d'ateliers, visant à accroître la capacité des individus à atteindre l'autonomie dans leur vie quotidienne. Pour (re)prendre le chemin de l'indépendance alimentaire et énergétique, de la connaissance de son environnement naturel et social. Nous espérons aider les personnes à faire le choix du bien-vivre et du mieux consommer, dans l'intérêt des producteur.rice.s et des consommateur.ice.s, des générations actuelles et futures et de tous les êtres vivants.
L'association proposera également des évènements artistiques, des activités conviviales, festives, ludiques et pédagogiques, pour tous les âges, pour retrouver du lien social et ouvrir son esprit.
Une matériauthèque et une bricothèque seront montées dans un deuxième temps afin de redonner vie aux objets et matériaux mis au rebut et de donner à tous et toutes les moyens d'expérimenter et d'avancer. Nous aimerions également à terme proposer des objets upcyclés par nos soins.

Commencés en septembre 2022, les travaux de transformation d'une grange et d'une grangette en salles polyvalentes ont bien avancés. Nous faisons tout nous-mêmes (charpente, maçonnerie, toiture, aménagements intérieurs...) et aurions besoin d'aide pour finir à temps car nous visons une inauguration à la fin du printemps 2024.
Les travaux auxquels vous pourrez participer : finir un bout de toiture, faire des enduits sur mur en paille, poser du plancher, de l'isolation, du placo, divers bricolages, potager et jardinage... Il ne faut pas avoir peur du travail physique et/ou en extérieur !
Le lieu :
Le site accueille trois foyers (les deux nôtres et celui d'une potière), il y a deux enfants, des chats, un chien, des chevaux. L'endroit est plutôt calme mais il est facile de trouver des activités pas très loin (cinéma, spectacles, bals, endroits à visiter...).

We are also close to the Dordogne.

L'endroit est plutôt calme mais il est facile de trouver des activités pas très loin (cinéma, spectacles, bals, endroits à visiter...). Le Lot est un très beau département avec beaucoup de patrimoine et de nature à voir. Nous sommes également proche de la Dordogne.
