Description
We are a very busy buffalo farm with a lot happening. We have an organic tunnel house, cheese room where a person with food experience can help, milking buffalo and fencing, native forest and planting restoration projects are underway.
We are currently calving, so lots to do with calves and getting ready for winter, gardening, firewood, clearing paddocks and help in the cheese room and buffalo barn.
There are many walks in the area as well as rivers to swim in and mountain hikes, the area is stunning and autumn weather is beautiful.Types of help and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
There is a lot to learn here about animals, a chance to ride a horse if you are experienced and to learn about your own food production. As we eat a lot off our land you will lessen your travel footprint as you will actively participate in your own food production.
Help
What there is to help with will vary due to season and what is happening, calving, planting, maintenance etc.
We need people to be able to do their share of cooking and house work, there is a garden and tunnel house where you can learn to garden. We need help raising the buffalo calves and there are other tasks available for people interested in this with replanting native vegetation along the stream banks and maintenance in the native forest reserve, fencing for those who are able.Languages spoken

Room of your own that is normally our air B&B. We are under a lot of stress given the current situation so we need people who can roll up their sleeves and get on with making things as good as we can with what we have.
What else ...
We like to have people here who are positive and are interested in our life on the farm. We ask visitors not to sit on their mobile phoneor talk on their phone / computer in our living area as we find this very anti social, our house is thin walled and like to enjoy a quiet living space. The farm has many walks nearby, and w prefer people here who are loving the outdoors and environment.
