Description
Hi! first of all thanks for looking to our Workaway experience, for us, that means that we are doing the things right. Feel free to look, ask us every thing you want so you can ve sure that’s what you are looking.
Talking about us, we are a couple from two countries. Rodrigo (40) from Chile and Camilla (39) from Italy that with a lot of love have Emma (4 Years old) and Rosa (6 months)
We start our new country life 3 years ago, when we bought our first piece of land. At the beginning it was a mess, because it was abandone. Now after some work we finish the first house, working in the second one and growing up with the fields and the coultive of olive trees.
We live in the middle of olive's fields with more that 300 trees. From our land you can see Segesta Temple (one of the most important of Italy), the sea and the mountain Inci. So in this way you are in the middle of the island and the real Sicilia.
Before being farmers (or at least trynig), Camilla is an architect and Rodrigo is an engineer. Being a couple one of the things that we like the most it’s traveling and doing sports (paragling, sailng, biking, camping, trekking, etc…). That helps us a lot with our dream, because, we know a lot of different cultures, places and people, that it’s directly involve because we choose all of our favorite things that we know to mix them and build our dream.
What do we ask?
We want you to be one more in the team, to help us in what you can, share with us your experience. If you can, teach us something that we don’t know every day it’s important to learn something more.
About the work, for our business activity we ave employed people, but the country life need a lot of diary work. We need help in it. In the maintenance of the spaces around our house, making the familiar vegetable garden.
We also have some animals (two donkeys, two sheeps and some chickens) and we ask to people to help us to take care of them.
In our house we speak Italian, Spanish and English … Any way after traveling for many countries we know that is you want to communicate it’s always posible, even if we don’t speak the same language
We offer accomodations in a wheels house that is parked close to our house.
You can use our services (bathroom and kitchen) and common spaces.
We offer you 3 meals (breakfast lunch and dinner). We always try to cook something that all can appreciate. We are not vegetarian but we always try to offer a vegetarian alternative if you need.
Meals are our best moments, as in any typical Italian family around the table we love to share our histories and heard from you yours.
It's important to understand that we are a family with two small childrens living in the house.
So is necessary to have respect of them helping to maintain clean the common spaces, in particular the bathroom and the kitchen.

if we love traveling it’s also because we love to share end eating. And that's by the hand of a good meal sharing the table. And for us it’s where we learn more. And will be glad to share our and yours experiences with a glass of wine (made in our farm).
Like us, we hope that you are interested in learning so will be more than happy to help you and teach you want we can (italian food, chilean could be our special, but in our road trip throw america we also learn some special plates.
About Sicilia, in particular this part of the island, we know it very well. Camilla have been coming in seen she was little. So all of the secrets and the special places we share it with you.
If you are looking to improve your Italian, Spanish ore even english will be happy to practice (it’s always good for all).
Help
The help is not hard!
We need help to clean our land, and help in the maintenance of the house and gardening
If you know about building and eco-solution you are really welcome.
The help can change every day, from cleaning the farm to paint a wall, planting some plants, to restyling some forniture, if you are good in something better if not we try to teach you or give you the work more appropriate about your capacity.
Always we ask you an help in the maintenance of the common spaces of the house and to ma rain clean your accommodation

Always, we have been traveling around the world. We hope that one day we could know more countrys than today. doing this it's esencial to know more that one language, so that's why practicing it's very important for us, so if you wan't to make the interchange it's perfecto for us. (What we can teach Spanish, English & Italian... what we can learn/talk maybe a little of french.)
Accommodation
Thiny house closed to our house with a doble and and eventually an individual bed. we all share the same bathroom and the common spaces of the house. The house is in the middle of the countryside, whit a magnificent view of Segesta temple. Here you can relax, no noise and only nature.
The house is located between Castellammare and Calatafimi.
Will offer you all the principals meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
We can also go and pick you up at the bus or train station (Calatafimi, Alcamo or Castellammare).
Also we like going to the beach where you can go with us and make some touristic tours.
If you need we can also take you to the town.trying to coordinate with our disponibility.
Remember that we are far from the town (more then 45 minutes walking)

At the time, different people have arrive with their campers, but we have to notify to you that we are in a dirty road and not for all is easy to drive up it. We have different places to park in our project we hope one that to have a perfect place were to park, we did a roadtrip from USA to panama with a motorhome so we know perfect what you need and what you are looking for. Also for you we have bikes so you can go around without moving your vehicle.
Can possibly accept pets
Depends on any case... At the time, one couple came with their dog and we never have any problem, but we also have a dog and some cats, in the hill there are also other dogs that run free. (we live in a "farm" so if the pet make complications with the other animals... we don't want it)

In August me and my friend Sophia spent 3 beautiful weeks at Camilla and Rodrigo's place. The land is magical, located on top of a hill, with an exuberant view of the beautiful Sicily (you can see the sea from up there).
