Description
WE ARE LOOKING FOR WORKAWAYERS WHO FEEL COMFORTABLE MILKING A DONKEY AND GIVING THE BOTTLE TO HER LITTLE ONE. WE MILK HER AND FEED HIM 3 TIMES A DAY. IN THE MORNING, AROUND LUNCH TIME AND IN THE EVENING.
We are a small family of 4. Jérôme (41), Alexia (42), Nala (6) and Mali (4) living on a beautiful farm in the lovely department of Aveyron (France). Jérôme used to be a walking guide but wanted to give a new meaning to our farm and installed himself as a "paysan boulanger", Alexia is a yoga teacher and used to work in a therapy center where people are treated with equitherapy and hippotherapy. Her goal is to develop equine zen therapy with the horses and donkeys. Since september 2023 she's fully present at the farm where she takes care of the animals, does the administration and helps out with the baking every Tuesday and Friday. At the farm we have 3 horses (Sanson & Gauloise and her foal Olip), 4 donkeys (Étoile, Mirabelle, Folie and her little one Orion), a mule (Pilou), 2 dogs (Kita & Unti), a cat (Alouette), 4 chickens and a rooster. We are looking for people who can assist in some construction work, woodcutting, renovations, harvesting, gardening, babysitting, cooking, household tasks, helping out on the baking days...This is all depending on the season and needs of the moment. We are looking for people who like to be around children and animals, who do things with a smile and who are the owner of a big thankful heart. We are welcoming, easygoing, smiley, positive and interested people who love to learn from life and other (human) beings about whatever it is that they are here to teach us. We love music and dancing !
We are not an equestrian center. If riding is your main interest, you'll be dissapointed here. The main activity on this farm for the moment is the bread baking 2 times a week, agriculture help, household tasks and construction help ( massage room ) and all the other tasks that have to be done on a farm with animals. We ride and train when there's time for it. The better we work together, the more time there is for the fun things.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR MOTIVATED PEOPLE, WHO LOVE TO BE BUSY, WHO HAVE A POSITIVE WORK ATTITUDE AND MINDSET, WHO ARE SUPER INTERESTED IN OUR ACTIVITIES AND WHO CAN ADAPT EASELY TO OUR FAMILY/FARM RHYTHM. GOOD MENTAL AND PHYSICAL HEALTH IS WANTED AND NEEDED ! EXPERIENCE WITH HORSES OR DONKEYS IS A PLUS !

Jérôme is French, Alexia half German, half Belgium. We speak French between us. The environment we live in is amazing. You can just walk out of the door and find yourself in nature. We live in a little village called Buzeins in between 2 cities (40 min away), Rodez & Millau. Jérôme, knows many nice spots to visit, has a big knowledge about plants and flowers and is a real handy man who loves to give things a second life. If a yoga experience could interest you, Alexia would like to take you along her yoga journey. We both love horses & donkeys and love to go out riding or walking them by hand uniterrupted in our lovely surroundings.

You'd be living in an old farm build out of stone in a little village (160 habitants) but close to Sévérac d'Aveyron (12 km) and 2 cities (Millau and Rodez). You'd have a comfortable and beautiful room or caravan for you with connection to internet. For at least 5 ours of your time 5 days a week, we offer you shelter and food.
What else ...
It is possible to bring your animal but only if they are friendly with other animals and humans (especially children!)
If you google Sévérac-le-Château you'll be able to find information about the location and the many cultural sites and incredibly beautiful natural spots to visit. This is a dream location for biking, hiking, horseriding, rock climbing, canoeing, skydiving or just to spend some peaceful time in nature.A little more information
