We are a family of four starting a permaculture farm. the farm is 1600 m2 and will be focusing on Huma (dry land rice field) as its core activities. we are located in Rancakalong Sumedang West Java.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
During your stay not only you can learn more on permaculture landscaping you can also explore the countryside area of rancakalong from hiking to traditional Sundanese culture and music. Rancakalong is well known for Tarawangsa, traditional music that has strong connection with rice planting culture.
My husband, Misbah, is a builder specialize on earthen building. Since we are in the beginning of creating the farm, there will be earthen building projects in the farm where you can have hands on experience building with earth.
our location is also located 1 hour to Bandung City . During your day off you can also visit the city which is worth to explore. -

Help
We are looking for volunteer who are eager to help us preparing the land.
We are also open to those who have experience in doing permaculture landscaping. the volunteer are expected to stay minimum 1 week with us.
We are looking for volunteers that can help us do landscaping and other earth work. -

the room for the volunteer will be in the same building where we live. It's a bamboo house. we expect that volunteer can keep the cleanliness of the house. we are not vegetarian or vegan but we can provide vegan menu with local ingredients for volunteers. we are also appreciate if volunteers can get involved in preparing the meal together with us

we live in a countryside where people who live there still hold their tradition and culture strongly, the people are very nice and welcome to foreigners and we expect that volunteers can respect locals values.
