Description
Welcome to Chantal 42 years old, Jérôme 44 years old and Jeanne 4 years old.
We live in a small hamlet of around a hundred inhabitants in the Monts du Forez countryside, less than 30 minutes from St Etienne, and 5 minutes from St Bonnet le Château (world capital of pétanque 😉).
Life in the hamlet is very nice. We share events several times a year: neighbors’ party, “fougas”, which we will happily bring to you if you are there at that time. Jeanne, for her part, will accompany you through the streets by bike to fetch milk from the farm or play with friends.
We love sharing good times with our friends and family who live nearby. But we also like to go as a family to enjoy those who are further away with our converted truck.
We are renovating our house to expand it, and we need a little help and make the room for future volunteers.
In the meantime we can welcome travelers in vans in our garden, just to sleep, the rest of daily life being shared at home. For travelers without a vehicle, we can provide a tent and everything you need to sleep in the garden, or in our truck if it is not a day when Jérôme needs it for work.
The renovation part is rather Jérôme’s domain, and the garden that of Chantal who will also accept help to improve it…
We have traveled a bit and we would like to introduce our daughter to other cultures and the possibility of opening her mind to Others.
Bienvenue chez Chantal 42ans, Jérôme 44 ans et Jeanne 4 ans.
Nous vivons dans un petit hameau d’une centaine d’habitant dans la campagne des monts du forez, à moins de 30 minutes de St Étienne, et 5 min de St Bonnet le Château (capitale mondiale de la boule de pétanque 😉).
La vie dans le hameau est très sympa. Nous partageons plusieurs fois dans l’année des évènements : fête des voisins, « fougas », que nous vous ferons vivre avec plaisir si vous êtes là à ce moment-là. Jeanne quant à elle, vous accompagnera dans les rues en vélo pour aller chercher le lait à la ferme ou jouer avec les copains.
Nous aimons partager de bons moments avec nos amis et notre famille qui vivent à proximité. Mais nous aimons aussi partir en famille profiter de ceux qui sont plus loin avec notre camion aménagé.
Nous sommes en train de rénover notre maison pour l’agrandir, et nous avons besoin d’un peu d’aide pour avancer et faire la chambre des futurs volontaires.
En attendant nous pouvons accueillir les voyageurs en vans dans notre jardin, juste pour dormir, le reste du quotidien étant partagé à la maison. Pour les voyageurs sans véhicule, nous pouvons fournir une toile de tente et le nécessaire pour dormir dans le jardin, ou dans notre camion si ce n'est pas un jour où Jérôme en a besoin pour le travail.
La partie rénovation est plutôt le domaine de Jérôme, et le jardin celui de Chantal qui acceptera aussi de l’aide pour l’améliorer…
Nous avons un peu voyagé et nous aimerions faire découvrir à notre fille d’autres cultures et la possibilité d’ouvrir son esprit à l’Autre.

Travelers will share all evening meals with us, and some lunchtimes depending on our professional activities.
We are both involved in associations in our town and surrounding areas, for the school, for the parish, for the village, we will be happy to share our activities with travelers.
We will share friendly family times.
Our English is a little rough, but with a little practice it should improve... Jérôme has some knowledge of German too.
Les voyageurs partageront tous les repas du soir avec nous, et certains midis en fonction de nos activités professionnelles.
Nous sommes tous les deux investis dans les associations de notre commune et alentour, pour l’école, pour la paroisse, pour le village, nous partagerons avec plaisir nos activités avec les voyageurs.
Nous partagerons des temps familiaux conviviaux.
Notre anglais est un peu approximatif, mais avec un peu de pratique il devrait s’améliorer… Jérôme a quelques notions d’Allemand aussi.

Help
Volunteers will be able to help us in our daily lives, maintenance, cooking.
But also for the more DIY enthusiasts, help with the work of extending our house. Or exterior maintenance, garden, cutting wood….
Les volontaires pourront nous aider dans notre quotidien, entretien, cuisine.
Mais aussi pour les plus bricoleurs aide aux travaux d’agrandissement de notre maison. Ou entretien de l’extérieur, jardin, couper du bois….

Accommodation
At the moment we do not have enough space to accommodate a guest inside the house. But there is space outside for a converted van or truck.
On the other hand, all the necessary amenities will of course be easily accessible.
For travelers without a vehicle, we can provide a tent and everything you need to sleep in the garden, or in our truck if it is not a day when Jérôme needs it for work. 3 meals per day are possible at home, whether we are present or not.
Pour l’instant nous n’avons pas assez de place pour héberger un voyageur à l’intérieur de la maison. Mais il y a de la place à l’extérieur pour un van ou camion aménagé.
Par contre toutes les commodités nécessaires seront bien sûr accessibles facilement.
Pour les voyageurs sans véhicule, nous pouvons fournir une toile de tente et le nécessaire pour dormir dans le jardin, ou dans notre camion si ce n'est pas un jour où Jérôme en a besoin pour le travail.
What else ...
We live in the middle of nature there are many beautiful walks to take, on foot or by bike. But there are also some interesting tourist sites nearby to discover.
Nous vivons au milieu de la nature il y a beaucoup de belles promenades à faire, a pieds ou à vélo. Mais il y a aussi aux alentours quelques sites touristiques intéressants à découvrir.
