WELCOME TO MY PROJECTS!
Hola, I’m Jorge but my friends call me Coco. I am an adventurer and explorer by passion and have a ton of interesting experiences to share about my adventures around Perú. I have a degree in Public Relations and Publicity. I have my own firm working with international student housing. I love travelling.
I am passionate about nature and all activities in the nature – surfing, hiking, trekking, cycling, but I also enjoy photography (I love it), live music shows, festivals and other cultural events. If you like doing some outdoor activities, we can do some together (but only if you like and have the time - not a must!). I speak English, Spanish and little of French.
I have recently created a volunteer organization , which is a community-oriented nonprofit that aims to empower kids to achieve their dreams through non-formal and informal education. We complement the current educational system by offering language lessons, brain training, physical and other creative activities. Ultimately, we want to build self-confidence and self-worth, while stimulating children’s own potential.
The project was created two years ago and it is now officially recognized in Italy as an NGO. We are working hard to improve and bring all of our dreams into reality. Right now, we are doing field work five times a week in two different districts in Lima. Currently, we have two major goals: to make the project more sustainable and self-sufficient, and to strenghten the relation with the members of the different communities to gain their participation in the project.
Also I have a international housing business (like hostel but long term) , where I need volunteer for helping me delevoping the business, like imporving the social media, creating a wedsite, taking pictures, also cleaning the rooms. Any ideas are welcome.
INTERESTED IN JOINING?
We care a lot about the children's needs and attachment, and it is important for us to provide them stable and "long term" relationships. Therefore, we ask our volunteers to stay for a minimum period of 1-3 months.
And for the hostel business I'm ok with one or two weeks.
The daily schedule can be flexible and we can arrange it with you depending on your and our necessities. Our schedule might be objected to change during your staying, and the time spent on each task can vary from week to week. However, the volunteers will not work for more than 25 hours, 5 days a week. We would prefer for you to have two days off in a row, and we will plan your week schedule before arrival. Your working hours (if you are available the whole week) will be distributed more or less like this:
We are looking for flexible, passion-driven, innovative individuals. This is a developing project where hours are subject to change. It is important that our volunteers thrive with changing schedules and unexpected opportunities. Passion and enthusiasm is what this place is about.
If you can help in any of projects Im developing, please, don’t hesitate to send me a message. If you would like a better impression of our work, everyday lives, goals, and expectations, please feel free to research about me.

PRIORITY RIGHT NOW !!!
• Help with Administration/Organization
• Help with Filmmaking/Photographer (please, show us some of your work)
It could be either a room or a share room inside of an internacional house, hot water in the shower and also you can use the kitchen to cook.
I will share with you the meals of day.
During your stay, there will be expenses for transportation. It would be necessary for the volunteers to travel to some of the projects by bus, or we go by car and share the expenses for the trip. The price of a bus ticket/ride with car will typically be 2 PEN, or 0,6 USD each way.
Bringing a personal device (computer, tablet etc.) is very essential for our work. A major part of our team work, communication, promotion, projects, and much more takes place online.
HEALTH, SAFETY, AND VISA
We care a lot about the safety and health of our volunteers. When joining the project, it is required of the volunteers to 1) obtain travel insurance and 2) update your vaccines. Check with your government's recommendations on which vaccines to update when coming to Peru. Remember to consider the length of your stay, your activities (will you be going on trips to other parts of Peru), and your working environment (you will be in close contact with locals in poor areas with many street dogs).
